@grandmanerd , lovely to see you back , and sounds like you've had so much to navigate over the last 6 months, and doing well.
@shabbychic12... I've been in my house for nearly 30 yearsthe thought of moving makes me quite dizzy.
@Siebrie... hugs to you. It can be really hard when friends tell you what you should do, when its more about what they might do, or think is best, but may not be best for you. Glad you and your girls have been having time doing lovely things together.
Hurt my foot so not been doing much, but have gone through receipts, and tried to clear some of the dust from the decorator but he's back in 7 days so unsure how much to do. Washing a few summer things to make sure all clean going away. Been watching the funeral and feeling such a long day for the family, and being televised the whole time.
Shredded a few things as well, also broken funnel, carpet sample and a few other things 1620.12 -
@Siebrie lots of non judgemental but sympathetic ears here. Only you can decide what is best for you and the girls and that can only be done in your timescales.@grandmanerd co granulations on the newest arrival! You have definitely had you hands full these past few months.
Not a lot done here today, I watched some of the funeral interspersed with some tidying and shuffling. A very short working week this week, a whole 2 days but jam packed days.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Yesterday I did another 30 minutes in the study. Don't even understand how there is still stuff to do but got rid of a lot of old papers. threw away a tin that has been in my way for weeks in the garage.
Today I have done 30 minutes in the loft. Mostly because I need to find papers relating to my MIL house in order to sell to my sister. The loft really is shocking. I found one solicitors letter amongst my MIL things but these were letters she had written as a child etc etc. Hence even if a box in the loft looks sorted by my hubby I have to go through it😢 Have to try not to think about all the mess up there and keep it to manageable 30 minute chunks of time. Lots more old school papers shredded. ( might have to get a new shredder at this rate as this one is overworked)
On the plus side there have been no more doggy incidents.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D10 -
@teachergirl spray a sheet of paper with WD40 and run it through the shredder to lubricate it 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday I managed to do all my clothes washing & got 2/3rds of it dry on the whirligig. I recorded the State Funeral (all 549 minutes of it) Then watched it later - fast forwarding through great chunks of it. Very moving & a fitting send off for The Queen. Dinner was risotto cakes with lettuce (+ tomatoes for me). Wudupa.
Tuesday is overcast but warmish. My excessive playing of AB2 is now a thing of the past - not my choice 😬 but at about 12:15 p.m. whilst I was playing, a notice came up saying I was permanently banned - no proper explanation just a generic note 😔 However rather fortuitous as nothing short of a ban would have stopped me playing 😉 So AB2 App is now removed + I have no other games. Now I just have to restrict my TV watching & then I will have absolutely no excuses re the decluttering 😉🙄 DH has almost finished putting down the new carpet tiles in his office 👏
1549 - 1554 Kitchen recycling, 2 plastic bottles, cardboard pot, drinks cans, magazine - recycling
1555 - 1558 Kitchen detritus, broken peg, 2 carpet tiles - binned
Happy_Kitties, sorry to hear that RL has been so challenging this year 🙁 However you have persevered, continued to declutter & been successful in your ‘neutral decluttering’ 👏 for which I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ I am also awarding you a second Gold Star ⭐️ for normal decluttering as you have kept busy 🙂 Please take care of the foot infection & try not to get too frustrated. Taking it a bit easier & getting fully fit should mean that you shouldn’t have a relapse 🤞
Siebrie, sorry to hear that you have had food poisoning 🙁 & I hope you are now fully recovered. Your weekend sounds lovely spending time with your daughters 😊 Shame about your husband but more fool him. I agree with both TC77 & florianatwobob, this is a safe & non judgmental place to sort your thoughts. We are here to support you in any decision you make as you are the only one who is in possession of all the facts.
Be back later to resume cheerleading.

Hi.So nice to hear your news happy kitties and grandmanerd. So much going on for you but positive over all.Siebrie do your own thing in your own time. No judgment here. ❤️I admire your strength.Another mini disc player has bitten the dust. Only 2 left!
We are burning through my candle stash. It really does take the chill off the room. Managed to not have the heating on yet. It has freed up a cute but large musical biscuit tin that can go. I used it to store tea lights.Decluttered the scaffolding yesterday. It makes such a difference.I used up some scraps of material at the beach huts workshop at craft club. Actually threw the left overs in the bin before I came home. I have sewn the panel as a pocket on the front of a tote bag that DD1 had from uni. Simple but effective.I am determined to work through my craft stash. I have a few ideas for Christmas. Either for family or DIL’s school Xmas fair. Tomorrow I am going to my Mum’s for a master class in Arran knitting. I bought wool and a pattern for jumpers for DD1’s BF little nephews. I am stuck after row 3! I am more of a sewer than knitter. I have also bought wool to make a blanket for my nephews baby due October.I promise not to buy any more supplies this year. 😬
Whilst looking for the box of candles in the pantry of doom I spied a box with an 8 place table setting of place mats and coasters. It would be standing room only with 8 people in this house, no chance of a dinner party here! We need to start selling on fb again. Perhaps next week. I think we will be staying at this house for a while now we have spent so much on it. We have found we don’t miss a larger house and we have lovely neighbours.
Love to all Vx

Mobility equipment I no longer use collected last week and one item I do use replaced as it had broken through old age.
Last lot of books sorted through. Such a shame the paper goes yellow over time - I will think twice about keeping books for any length of time unless the paper is of good quality. Some of them had bright yellow spots rather than uniform yellowing which looks a bit odd.
Skip no 2 was filled to the brim and now been collected. Hopefully we’ll not need another. There are numerous boxes in the shed which still need to be gone through - there is still a lot of stuff to be brought back indoors or sent off on its way and not much time now that winter is approaching (shed not watertight).Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅10 -

Finishing off Tuesday - got the last of my washing line dried 👏 DH has finished laying the carpet in his office. Sadly the tomato plants (from DH’s BiL) caught blight so have been dug up & binned. Not a single healthy tomato so no chutney this year 😭 So have emptied the cupboard of jars which are now on the dining room table & I will sort & recycle tomorrow 😔 DH also dug out the potatoes from one bag - 600g only & none of them very big 🙁 but at least we have some produce from our garden 🙂 Dinner was roast pork, roast potatoes, fried lo mash & broccoli, cabbage & carrots 😋 Wudupa. (Suffering from AB2 withdrawal symptoms 😂)

Welcome back mothernerd in your new incarnation as grandmanerd 👋 Thank you for such a comprehensive update - so lovely to see you back 😊 after such a hectic 4 months. Sorry to hear about your ex-husband but the funeral sounds like it was a celebration of his life. Also sorry to hear about your niece’s other grandma. Personally I think you have attended enough funerals for the next 5 years 😔 However Congratulations on becoming a grandma 😊 hope you are getting lots of cuddles 🥰 with none of the attendant nappy changes 😉 Sounds like you have worked very hard to improve your mental health & are now in a good place 🙂 Hopefully your doctor can set things in motion to help with your mobility & perhaps also help with getting the PIP mobility allowance 🤞I have to admit that I was a tad annoyed reading about how after all your work losing weight, the medical profession moved the goalposts re the diabetes 😖 Wishing you every success with your plan 🍀 It has been so lovely catching up with your news. Re your numbers, congratulations on reaching your target - two Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ on their way. Good luck with Mark 2 decluttering - already at 500/2022 - almost quarter of the way so one more Gold Star ⭐️ on its way.
Just seen the time so will come back later 😉

Managed to eat several frogs today - finally got the money transferred from a Certificate of Deposit that belonged to one society I belonged to that merged with another one to the right society. Only took 11 months after the check was sent to get it deposited in one account and then transferred to the other. Then sent several hours cleaning up the leftovers from the book sale. This morning I helped one roommate with her application for aid for disability insurance. Then helped another one change the phone number and password for his bank account. He actually believed someone wanted to deposit money in his account and needed his password to do it (it doesn't work that way). Fortunately for him, there is no money in the account yet (actually overdrawn by less than $12), so they couldn't steal anything. He is very gullible - I have to keep a watch on him. We also got his dental appointment set up after three months of hassles. So a lot of frogs taken care of today. I don't know if it was a good sign - or a bad one, but our trash cans were over the top when the trash company came to pick them up today.9
