Today will put out recycling and take some stuff to the charity shop. Have to go to a particular shop as its electricals and not all take that.
Brought home a lot of cardboard from my friends house. They live in a different Council area, bin crew will only collect what will fit in the bin, mine will take extra paper and card. My friend is trying to declutter so thought I would help speed up the process.
However during the week I have had 3 deliveries (all in cardboard boxes) so I have loads of card.
Fortunately my bin crews are lovely, and won't grumble.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)9 -

I woke up like the weight of the world had lifted off my shoulders. As I joked to a friend "amazing what a bit of sunshine & your ex flying off to another continent can do !"!
Had a quiet day at work - only 2 clients but because I had to remain available it meant that I couldn't go anywhere so I caught up with chores - tidying, washing, putting clothes away, fresh duvet covers etc. Also spent some time replying to some emails / general admin. Took stuff to CS during lunch break. In the eve I went to gym for a gentle work out. I can't believe how much my knee is improving I really thought that it was going to be a steady deterioration from here on..... 🙏
Oh & I decluttered the kg of holiday weight I'd gained !! I'd like to lose another kilo or two in the next month for an an event coming up in mid-October as my clothes will fit better if I do.
*I retrieved 2 items from my charity shop bag - a dress & some pretty tights - hence still at 818

Hi All.
Grandparent duties yesterday then an evening listening to Brian Cox at the local arena. When I wasn't snoozing (I know I know but it was dark and warm) The subject mattter - black holes, the universe and the the trillions of galaxies just blow your mind.
Today I am working still on the dining room. Someone has asked for some bags of packaging I put on GMtree for free but not counted as yet as being dropped off on Tuesday.
One of my tasks today has been deseeding pods from sweet william for sowing next year.. I am fascinated with how different plants produce their seeds and the mechanisms with how they get them distibuted.
Right off to the plot. Have a great day everyone.

@Floss what a great idea re the shredder..I will give it a try tomorrow.
So the dogs got me up 3 times last night. I was shattered today but they were not any more sick than normal so I didn't understand it......until I spoke to my neighbour. We have been having a problem this week with Badgers digging up the front gardens. He has bought a deterrent (which is just by the corner of my living room) It plays music when something goes past it!!!!!! When I suggested that this might have been what had woken my dogs in the night....he declared they couldn't possibly have heard it🤦🏼♀️. I beg to differ.
Anyhow I did declutter something by accident. A friend came over with her little boy and she was looking at my board games, she said her daughter, who is a bit older had the childrens version. We never use the adult version so I gifted it to her.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D9 -
3984-3991: 8 carriers to supermarket delivery driver
3992-3993: 1 GB data and 50 emails deleted.
3994-4013: items to bin, including just a couple of past their best items from the fridge.
4014-4035: packaging to recycling including boxes that really don't need to clog up the freezer.
Not back at work till Friday morning: I seem to be finding little pockets of stuff that could have gone straight in a bin so need to tackle that habit and relocate the bins!
A couple of life maintenance jobs have all the relevant bits in one place so they're on tomorrow's list..‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Evening Peeps,
well, I've finally decluttered some of the bits for the CS, they have been on a jolly for some time in my car and DH's van. Just one large charity bag and a regular one. There is more to go though. Managed to stick to the rule of items going into the loft others have to leave. I found a quilt and 2 pillows to decorate our bed with - looks very nice. Will leave the quilt on when it gets very cold it makes it a good weight in total.
Removed an item from the back garden that should have gone to the tip in reality yet it went into the bottom of the bin. Got a wash done and dried for free in some nice weather. Friday is looking like another wash dayReally need to get the ironing pile done.
DH hoovered up yesterday, he always does a better job than me. He has also lit the fire and then gone into his shedI could have managed without it. He is the one that feels the cold due to his health issues. (I'll be adding to them when he comes back in the house
I need to work on photographing items as I find them and load up ready, missed another good offer from ebay.
Nice to hear from you again @grandmanerd and even better that you are stronger mentally. Congratulations on your new grandchild too.
For those who have life changing events happening stay strong and feel free to off load in here for us to support you xx

Thank you for my gold star Mrs SD. Next year (as I know I will not be finished for some years) I will learn how to display my medals and starsI
I have totally failed in training DD2 - came back to find trainers in the middle of kitchen floor, remains of covid test (negative) spread around the kitchen, no space on dining room table and other things all over - looks like the artist Cornelia Parker's blown up shed with everything landed anywhere!
Took bag of folders, files and other stationery to donation point, suncream put awaypacked away summer clothes and found some sports things of DD2 she can keep in her room. I try not to go in there and it's for her to decide how she wants to live in there...although spending more time in other rooms which I still believe is the major reason or the house of doom. Although my 'office' is not immaculate. Recycled some receipts, bought breakdown cover and moved things for DD2 forward, 1635

Went to the tip with the metal frame of our party tent, which was broken, and a hard plastic garden chair which had developed a tear in the seating area, dangerously ready for pinching bottoms. Also tipped: a bag full of hard plastics toys (discoloured/broken), a toasty machine, and an Ikea nightlight that broke within a week.Several sheets of 'art' from dds, which were painted and then left behind the computer screen.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.597
