vulpix, life sounds very full on but very productive 🙂 Sending good wishes to your builder that his baby is soon home with mum & dad. What a nice step son 😊 Great work on decluttering MrV’s wardrobe 👏 Shame that MrV isn’t reciprocating 😉 but sorting one wardrobe probably tired him out 😉 Good luck with your wardrobe declutter 🍀
QueenJess, better one extra thing in that will be appreciated than regret at missing it 😉 Excellent work on sorting/decluttering the desk drawers 👏 Good luck with getting through your paper supply 🍀 Must be lovely to have your DD in her own room - means you have some ‘me time’ 😊
Floss, I think we have quite a few avid readers who can reward themselves by reading when they have had a successful decluttering session 🙂
mhagster, I believe it is called re-cluttering 😉 However it doesn’t really count against you as you are just a caretaker 😊 Everything crossed that DS keeps himself & your car safe 🤞
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 You have found some interesting & memorable items 😊 As to the index cards what a very considerate way to deal with them 😊Sounds an intriguing read QueenJess 🤔
Great work short_bird 👏
Good luck with the ‘hunt’ florianatwobob 🍀
Excellent decluttering Siebrie 👏 My money is on DD2 not noticing 😉 unless she reads MSE forum 😂

Back to work today so soon I will have little time. I already hate it.
I struggled with the decluttering today, but found 10 things in the end to go, which was more than the 3 things that came in. Going to have to be vigilant as I have a number of second hand clothes/shoes for me and the kids to mainly replace broken items as well as a few Xmas presents. The waterproof trousers for DS and wellies for DD were a must since they both love getting dirty and splashing in puddles. Everything bought is second hand though, so doing my bit for the planet. Also got another couple of pick ups for stuff I am giving away tomorrow. I really need to label up the charity bags I packed so I can take them to the drop off site, but I am already struggling for time.
3750-54 - paperwork
3755-57 - kids books
3758 - book
3759 - a bag that has completely disintegrated
Everyone is doing so well and it’s motivating me to keep going.2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Hello everyone, still very hot here, the big drought continues and some drizzle today has made little difference. However, our French house is designed to cope with heat and we were23 max inside with max 37 outside. Did a lot of reading and decluttering continues slowly.
I have managed to sell 50 plus books for 60 euros, but all already accounted for. Even so it’s good to have them gone.
DD came to visit and left me lots of half uu travel toiletries so I’ll be using them up- MSE, of course.
Mhagster, great work with the house clearing. As my DSis reacted like your DB, I have felt for you. Congratulations, WeeNancy, so pleased that your good work has been acknowledged.
So,
1 uu polish tin
1 bag for life
1 empty shoe box
1 uu shampoo bottle
2 uu shampoo samples
1 uu travelsoap
1 pile packaging from new shears and loppers
10 books for CS
Total 17
DH jammed his electric items drawer and emptied out all the contents
1 dead light bulb
1 pile of uu lightbulb packaging
1 pile of wire
Total-20
254+20=274/365
Heading slowly towards my target.
Big hugs for everyone, especially those of us with troubles. I did get my two big frogs sorted and they have faded into the past.
And keep safe everyone !

One day back home from hols and Dad's already had an emergency, another bathroom calamity 😟 Long story short his carpet was soaked so it has been pulled up and discarded as it was beyond saving. We will have to wait for the floor to dry before we measure up for some carpet tiles.
I returned home with umpteen empty xmas and birthday bags, the broken ones have been recycled along with some xmas paper which had been pre -used and no longer fit for purpose. I also brought home a war film DVD collection which is brand new and still cellophaned and will go into the ongoing cs bag. Dad also gave me an unopened box of M&S jams, a xmas present and with the BB date of 2015 😲 I have tried the jams first to decide if they were still edible, they're not 🤢. The jars have been emptied and recycled along with the cardboard box. I am dreading clearing his house out when the inevitable happens, I think it will involve several skips just for the rubbish 😱
This afternoon I am hanging around waiting for a tel call from my GP to discuss the results of my last blood test, I shall be glad to declutter that as I get anxious talking on the phone.
Congrats weenancy on the award.
Hugs to those struggling at present.

I feel for you with the clear out when the time comes. It took my parents forever to go through the house as it was all so random to take what was of value to them before the house clearers came in. At least it prompted them to go home and clear out a lot of their house!2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Popping by to say a quick hello. I have been visiting with DiL and baby. I am on granny duty from September so building trust with both baby and mum. Wento to the park today via the library for a bay singing and rhymes session.
After that we walked around the park and observed an older man being knocked down by his dog, it looks like he broke his ankle. Also observed a big dog run off and jump up a a toddler and onto a push chair. Luckily no baby inside. I was horrified.
Yesterday I hit the brambles on the plot I share with my friend. She wants to grow some for picking but these had grown wild and ranged through all her fruit trees so the fruit couldn't be reached safely. I have identified a self rooted bush that will be fenced and trained and the rest are going to be re moved vigorously.
I have cut the branches up small and hope to use them as a compost once rotted down.
Sold and sent a few items online but not anything big.
Finally I had the opportunity to pick up 2 wheelbarrows and a dog crate this morning but left them where they were. Got to stp bringing big stuff home.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Thanks QueenJess it's good to know I'm not the only one having problems dealing with someone else's clutter.
I was surprised when Dad ( he's almost 93 ) parted with the DVD's etc. as I usually have to pry things from his hands, even getting rid of empty cardboard boxes becomes a tussle 😠 All of it was on show in his hallway and there's a lot more to go through, but I didn't want to push my luck as I'll need that to go through all his cupboards/ wardrobes which are stuffed to the gunnels 😱 This is the main reason I'm on here and doing my best to declutter my own house as I don't want my DD to have to clear a mass of junk. As I get older I am finding it harder to cope with unnecessary stuff around my house. Getting DH to easily part with things is a work in progress though 😂

Bit by bit there's nothing better than baby Granny duty as they grow up so quickly, enjoy your time together. Hope the older man is ok and well done on not bringing the 2 wheelbarrows and dog crate back home ! Step away from the stuff 🤣 !!

Hello. So today I decluttered some hair and look much better for it!I’ve decluttered my work days ( hurrah)
And I thought I’d change the living room around except it’s right back where it was in the first place! But I moved the big rug back into the living room for autumn/winter coming.I’d taken mums big telly but we don’t really watch much so put that and a wee portable up on local FB page so someone coming for them tomorrow. The dog decluttered some dog food as I spilled a whole load whilst topping up his tin!! He was like a hungry hippo! Scoff! Scoff! Then mums NDN texted me to say photographer has left blinds open and up! So not best pleased at that and when I went round the alarm wasn’t on and keys had been left in the back door so there will be a phone call in the morning!11
