@2Scratters Brit Gas emailed me this week and they’ll be collecting the full DD amount and then refunding the £66/£67 a few days after. If someone’s DD is less than the £66/£67 the difference will be applied to the individuals energy account. So if your DD is £50 then £16 will be applied to your account.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hi all,
@florianatwobob, thanks for the explanation re the energy companies. I am with bg but I haven't checked my emails this week and I was wondering how it would work. I suppose we will all have to save the £66 somehow so when they claw it back we will have it but I can see a lot of people just not being able to do it.
@teachergirl, hugs
@Siebrie, I like the idea of the black ball and I can see how it would help to not be overwhelmed, though when I was married if I was annoyed with my husband I took it out on him, probably why I am now happily divorced
Today I have made an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss my blood tests, a real face to face but not until 19th Sept. It's a good job it's nothing urgent as I had to wait 4 weeks for the blood tests.
I have also cleared out the fridge and chopped, blanched and frozen a load of veg. Some individually and a big bag to make a veg stew as I had the last of the last batch this week.
It has been proper raining every day since Monday so only flitting in and out to the garden but the sun should be out again tomorrow so the washing machine will be on.
Take care everyone

I don't think I've posted for a week. Decluttering wise: DS2 moves into his flat this weekend and will be collecting his belongings from here on Saturday. That will be a massive decluttering, my house will seem twice as big. I've shredded lots of papers and am filling a cs bag. Found another lot of bird prints in the Wardrobe of Everything so they will be donated too - they're rolled up posters not prints.
Speaking of the Wardrobe of Everything (name turned out to be v appropriate) I have got everything out of it that I didn't want in there and have been putting back what I do want in there, in an organised fashion.
The decorating has gone well, should be finished tomorrow. I have always been the assistant decorator previously, ever since I was a child helping my Dad, so I felt a bit daunted by being the sole decorator now. i knew I could do it but what the finished result would be was the real question. But with the help of a few Youtube videos I succeeded in rollering the ceiling- including the mist coat - and painting all the coving and picture rail and it looks good.
I'm using up old paint and it has been fine. Tested it first and also strained through old tights as one can had a few lumps and a second had rust drop into from the lid when I opened it. It's been hard work with my arthriticy hands and bad back but nearly there and, so far a good result.
DS is still in hospital and not too communicative, the meds have made him v exhausted. Other DS got his biopsy results this week, mole is malignant and should be off within a week, but fortunately hadn't spread to lymph nodes. TBH decorating and decluttering stops me crashing with worry.9 -

@Liverpool_Anne I shall be trying to squirrel the ahem ‘refund’ away so I can pull it out of savings to mitigate the next heating price hike.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
