Waaah at the dentures wildrose😬😬😬
went back round for an hour of which half was spent blethering over the fence with NDN, I’ve known her most of my life and we’ve always been able to chatter for ages. My mum would say ‘what were you talking about?’ And I’d say ‘oh just blethering’

One of my colleagues gave me sturdy rubble bags that are a suitable size for me to fill and lift and dump contents at tip. This is for clearing the garden. The big bin was already filled within a day of it being emptied and it’s only emptied once a month. So this will be a big help. Anyway first bag  filled. And another four squares of slabs cleared.

Holiday Mantras

1. Try not to eat too much but drink plenty of water

Tuesday started overcast & rainy - at one point it looked like the weather was set for the day 😥 However gradually the clouds were blown away & the afternoon was blue skies, fluffy white clouds & hot, hot, hot 🥵 Another lazy day - breakfast in the Dorado (beach restaurant). Sadly the coffee was awful - I think the luke warm water had a couple of coffee beans wafted over the top of it 😔 & the service was quite poor - new waitress not fully trained 😔 The food was still just as tasty as usual though 🙂 Yogurt, 2 fried eggs & toast + sparkling water for me. DH had croissants, fried eggs, bacon & sausages + toast. Then straight to cabana with some toast & a croissant for the fish. DH & I were in & out of the water like jack-in-the-boxes 😉 Saw about half a dozen frigate birds & our usual types of fish. Had a light lunch. After our last dip we sat in the cabana with towels over our legs as the sun was fierce 🥵 Left the beach about 4:30 p.m. as we had a table booked in the Japanese restaurant, Zen, for 6:00 p.m. for Teppanyaki - the food is cooked in front of you which I didn’t know 😉 We showered & changed then headed off at 5:40 p.m. so we had time for a drink beforehand. Our chef Adrian was very entertaining - various cringeworthy jokes e.g what do you call a man hanging from a tree, dressed in a suit & carrying a briefcase ………………… drum roll please………….. a branch manager 😉 Everyone apart from me started with miso soup, I had the sushi. Then Adrian cooked egg rice, vegetables, chicken, prawns & steak on a flat top metal grill. Delicious 🤤  😋 

A piece of cheesecake for afters. All over by 7:30 p.m. so the other 5 went for a coffee or drink but I returned to our room to rinse out our swim wear - which we need for a trip tomorrow. DH got back about 8:35 p.m. I am now out on the balcony drinking coffee & listening to the music which is a bit bass heavy 😉

The labour of love was well worth it florianatwobob 👏😊

Wow Siebrie 🤩 when you renovate, you really do renovate 🤩 Love the idea of you teaching your girls how to decorate - will come in very handy when they are older 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 I see you are getting fully organised before you head off to your parents. Hope you have a lovely time 😊

With 2 plasterers it should take half the time florianatwobob 🤞Hope the weather stays fine so that the plaster dries quickly & well 🙂

Now, now Suffolksue ‘wagging finger emoji’ 😉 Once aboard you stay aboard for the whole year 😉 you have just been spending time in the TLC carriage or RL is keeping you too busy 😔 So pleased to hear that you are remembering your Caribbean cruise. We are spending most of our time in a resort - about a 5 minute walk from a private beach 🙂 Tomorrow we are on a small cruise to the mud baths & will see the volcano, The Pitons& various waterfalls.

Decluttered another shift ( yay ) 

Up to mums to load car & go to tip

2 knitting machines none in a complete state so can’t pass them on and it gives me great pleasure to chuck them in the skip…hated them as a child !

And two bags of garden waste ( loving these sturdy bags , messaged  my work colleague to say thank you again) already had one filled from last night then thought right you’ve 3 minutes to fill a bag! Go! 

So that’s a good job done. I’ve had the go ahead from solicitor to put house up for sale. However I might spend tomorrow phoning estate agents. With a view to getting them out next week. Niece is taking furniture this weekend so be will be better when that’s away and I can get all hoovered.

@Wildrose when we cleared my stepmother's house my sister took the false teeth and sold them on ebay😳 She doesn't believe in throwing anything away😂

still feeling meh. A combination of not sleeping so well and the fact it would have been my wedding anniversary tomorrow😢

Yesterday I made myself do 30 minutes in the garage. Threw out an old double airbed that would not blow up and a underbed roll that had been chewed by mice😩

Today I decided to do some more clearing in the study. I have books of old magazine cuttings with money saving tips from 2003🤣 needless to say many of them were not relevant today.   Also some of the advice things were well out of date...ie how to download CD's to your phones. Many of the gardening tips were also no longer relevant as I no longer have the allotment. So about 7 folders of cuttings have been thinned to just one book. When I have finished going through the folders on the shelf I have decided to treat myself to some new folder holders as an incentive.
I have also worked out if I recycle some electric leads(why are there always so many) I will have a box in the study where I can put all the paperwork relating to the property in Dorset which I need in a handy place so it can be sorted properly. 

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger loving reading about your holiday....the food descriptions are not helping my new resolve to loose weight😂

I've tidied up the main bedroom today with a tiny bit also tidied in my library.  The bedroom is now completely tidied and since it was untidy, I concluded there must be things to declutter in it.  I also decluttered a few bits from the library and one from the cupboard (one in one out there since I replaced a battery charger that wasn't working with a new one).  I will move onto the rest of the rooms tomorrow, although it is mainly just the library, hall and kitchen/diner that need sorting out.

I can't seem to do much about the three cupboards that we have... I dislike how full they are, but it is mainly because they are storing next size up clothes/shoes/coats etc for DD from DS.  Eventually there will be less as they will grow out of them less quickly and I assume they will share fewer clothes at some point (especially since DS seems to destroy his clothes...), but for right now, there is little I can do about it.  DD does have the next size up in her room, so it is the sizes above this that are cluttering up the place.  There is also lots of DH stuff as he seems to have tons of bathroom stuff for some inconceivable reason.  I also have too much, but I've been getting through mine and it decreases every month.  There is also too much packaging etc in there that I am hoping will be used up at some point...

Decluttering efforts for today:

2389-2394 - packs of stamps I got for free that I will never be able to get through.  Given away on buy nothing and I still have a stash here.

2395 - dress that doesn't suit me

2396 - battery charger that no longer works

2397 - skirt I don't like

2398 - packaging

"Waaah dentures!" was pretty much what I said when I discovered them grinning at me from a shelf in the shed @mhagster.

@teachergirl who would buy dentures on ebay? It's not like they have a size label. 

Today I dug out a large amount of bamboo, over half way there. Though it doesn't end when all the big roots are out, I'm going to dig out all the soil and sieve out all the little roots so this blooming nightmare doesn't return. Then put down weed suppressing membrane or black plastic, which I have loads of in the garage as the former Mr Wildrose had bought load and loads of the stuff.  Then put gravel on top of that, my refurbed garden bench on that and build a small pergola type thing round that and grow a rose over it. There I can sit and look at all the other gardening I have to do.

Also sorted out 2 bedroom drawers, washed my work out clothes which I never wear as I get more than a workout in the garden. 

When the former Mr Wildrose left I filled several A4 notebooks, writing freeform in them every morning to get his awful cruelty and abuse out of my head. I also wanted to armour myself if he tried to weasel his way back. Read a few pages and whatever marvelous manipulations he'd tried would fail. Tonight I decided to shred all these notebooks. I haven't looked at them since I wrote in them and that's 5 years now. "I won't read them" I told myself but of course I glance at one page and realised that although I'd started writing about the horror of him I'd also chronicled my recovery (such that it is), finding my way in the workplace (wasn't allowed to work) and rediscovering who Wildrose is. 

So I put them away again, but they are transformed in my mind.

I have 2 tops to try on after my shower. 1 is too big I think, hangs funny on my shoulders. The other, a pretty cotton Manteray top has never been worn. It fits fine except for the arms which are too tight. They seem to have been made for very spindly arms. I'll have one more try on the offchance my arms have miraculously shrunk and if it is still too tight on my arms off they got to the CS tomorrow.
