Hi all, I definitely will be here, I have so much still to do. I don't do numbers as I think for me I would either fail miserably and then beat myself up or set a target that's too low and start to feel bad because I hadn't set a proper target. Suffice to say I would like to have my kitchen replaced and the front room sorted. I also have the room of doom which is the small bedroom to sort out. The garden is also a big job and I hope to make some progress there.
I hate wasting anything and I have realised that I struggle to let things go if there is some life left in them, so I will be aiming to make some rational decisions about things like clothes and shoes. I think I probably have enough decorating/ gardening clothes
Looking forward to seeing you all here in the new year
Take care everyone10 -

As to your CS dilemma, perhaps you could enlist someone else to drop off your donations thereby avoiding the temptation to buy 😉

I have decided l need to join, l have been a lurker and think l
need the challenge to focus my very great need to declutter. My problem is l like stuff and find it hard to get rid with the just in case l need it mentality, get this from my mum who was a great carbooter when they first started up not the rubbish you get now.
l also need to do it now as if l pop my clogs my daughter will just bin it all and some things do have more that sentimental value.Count down to retirement 202310 -
Morning All.
I would like to join in for 2022 please. I often do little declutters and I'm good at not bringing stuff into the house, but there are areas that need sorting, including clothes belonging to other family members that are starting to exceed the storage available!
I managed to prevent stuff creeping in by agreeing no gifts with some family members this year, so my grand total of gifts was 5 trees planted on my behalf by the Woodland Trust (zero clutter), a box of my favourite shortbread (won't be around for long) and a lovely 1952 coronation mug which I have a place for on my kitchen windowsill.
When I decorated for Christmas, I sent to the charity shop several bits that I haven't used for a few years. I will sort through again when I pack away.

Morning all, can I join the declutter train please Mrs SD? Last year I was more of a lurker than a poster, but some things did leave the house. This year I want to concentrate more on decluttering our very small house (+ 2 sheds & a garage), our bedroom is the dumping ground, so would be lovely to go to bed without wondering if there will be an avalanche in the middle of the night!
I will aim for 365 items, but secretly hoping it will be a lot more than that! Will sell as much as I can, to put money towards building an extension, then donate or bin the rest.
Good luck everyone!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
