Please could i join in .I would like to aim for 2022 items as i have a house absolutely full of collections and bric a brac.I would of course like to sell all 2022 items but if something hasnt sold after a few weeks it will go to the CS,anything that is not worth recycling will go in the bin .I think i will just count the items that i sell so this number needs to be more realistic so im thinking maybe 250 could be my target .Thank you13

Good morning chums.
Nothing exciting to report. I have been spending most of my time hand sewing. So much so that I have blisters from the needle. Luckily MIL gave me a tin of plasters for Christmas. I can continue to sew with the aid of 4 plasters on one finger!
Craft club this afternoon where I shall off load a few things. Wool and copies of the pattern for the slippers I made for everyone at Christmas. Also a magazine I get through my bank always passed on to my friend there.
I am continuing to use things up at a pleasing rate.
It is lovely to hear of every ones decluttering successes. I want to continue to check in here to keep my hand in and keep myself accountable to not bring stuff into the house. DD1 did ask what about Birthday gifts. I don't know, I need to think about it. No weight loss efforts happening yet. I am working up to weighing myself.

7 items out yesterday. Lots of tidying too. The whole place looks much messier but that’s because the Christmas decorations are part taken down and none put away yet.
The freezer is full of soups and stews so the next 2 weeks meals are sorted - no need for any shopping or cooking which should save lots of time and energy for decluttering and frogs etc.
TC77 re healthy eating - rather than cutting things out try adding things in instead. For example, have a small salad before your main meal each day then when you’re in the habit of doing that, swap one of your snacks for a piece of celery or have one vegetable based meal a day etc then once the habit is formed, change something else. Find a way that works for you but I think this way is much easier and more sustainable long term than trying to change everything at once especially when the weather is miserable, the days are short, we’re in winter hibernation mode and we’ve just had a time of feasting on high sugar/fat that our bodies become addicted to. I ate 6 chocolates yesterday and I still have mince pies and cheese to finish. I did have healthy soup for lunch and veg stir fry for tea so I am not upset about it. I shall continue to enjoy the treats over the next couple of weeks and replace them with healthy snacks as I finish them.

The nurse phoned earlier to let me know my mother passed away in the night. Bereavement officer will contact me probably tomorrow.
I have notified immediate family, left a message for one of my cousins asking her to phone me back (hoping she will notify the rest of my cousins including her older sister who's very ill - cousin will know if she's well enough for bad news).
I need mum's address book for anyone else so will be heading back there shortly (have to deal with 5 day old washing in the machine).
I've asked people if there's anything they want from the house and all anyone wants is photographs - the rest is just 'stuff'. An excellent decluttering mantra.
I will be around (may need to up my target for the year). I am definitely not falling for the "We must keep this - at your house" this time.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage25 -
Very sorry to read this mothernerd. I know you felt your Mum was ready to go but it is still a huge loss, losing your mother. Thinking of you.12
