@marrob: I have complete sympathy with you re fabrics. A friend of mine sold binliners full of mixed fabrics on a local selling site.
Thanks for your kind words MrsSD; but you and the fellow declutterers have really helped.keep me on track.
A good day today. Two large items have left the house. A very large rug to DS2 and a coffee table sold on a local selling site.
More out tomorrow as taking DS3s washing back to him and his partner. they live in a flat and couldn't get anything dry so the washing built up. That will be 2 large bags plus another bag of baby stuff they need.
Still not tackled the dining room mess and have a frog to sort out. Will only take a few mins on the 'puter.

Another day in the girls room. I've sorted Another pile to go but as her fried came I left them to it so the pile hasn't yet left the room, so nothing actually out today other than emails.
I've started my debt diary again and after going through finances we have decided the unit has to go! DH was made redundant 5 years ago and had a go at self employed, he hurt his back and couldn't continue doing what he was. We still have the storage unit and every so often, when we've completely filled a room, it just gets shifted to the unit. So we've decided we're going to empty it by the end of Jan, Feb at latest 😱🙈
Added from yesterday evening
96-99 dog bones given to dogs (MIL buys them every Christmas and I hate rawhide so they usually stay in the cupboard)
100 100 emails (was going for 50 a day but then realised I had more than that just from here today 🤣)
Toadys
101 100 emails while drinking my tea
The unit last time I ventured up there.....

I have good success with selling on Vinted but to be honest it's not the place if you have things which are worth a lot of money as items don't seem to sell for much on there. It's great for lower value items that you are happy to get a small amount for though.
The thing I do like about it is the buyer buys the postage their end and Vinted provide you with the label which has been pre-paid by the buyer so you don't have to organise that yourself.
I tend to sell things we aren't using, stuff the kids have grown out of and things I no longer like or that don't fit (thanks lockdown weight gain) and use the funds to purchase replacement items in the correct sizes. I know it's kind of against the purpose of this thread but you can buy some really great things on there at very low prices so if you are on a tight budget it allows you to still switch up the contents of your wardrobe without breaking the bank.£2021 in 2021 total =£2220.00

Hi X it's been many many years since I used these boards. Can I join in the declutter please. I seem to be constantly moving things to be able to tidy.
This week I have bagged up 5 black bags of clothes/shoes for the firefighters clothes bin. And 1 for the charity shop X part of me still wants to keep some back to sell but I haven't sold it in this long it needs to just go! Some of the items were age 4-5 and my son is 10 this year!

It seems there are quite a few of us finding better things to do than our tax returns... I'm planning on having a go at mine tomorrow - I think I've been putting it off as 19-20 was such a rubbish year I don't really want to know the final tally! Sending positive vibes to everyone who has to get it done 🙃
On a different note, I've made a little more progress in other areas. Nothing has left the premises today, but I have sorted out and organised all of my medication. I now have the stuff I take last thing at night / first thing in my bedside table. Anything else is in a box in the kitchen sorted into date order. I can now tell at a glance when I will need to order any repeat prescriptions. There's a bag to go to the pharmacy of OOD / unwanted meds and empty inhalers.
I've also been doing quite a lot of relocating of items to their correct rooms. Quite random, but I had about half a dozen bags with driftwood in various rooms - these have all been sorted into one bag.
In preparation for doing my taxes, I decided to use today to do all my tuition prep for the week, so I can't procrastinate so much! I even made myself type up my notes from today's tuition sessions - I'm not usually very good at doing it on the day!!
Kitchen is also looking a bit tidier as I've binned a few bits and left it tidy for tomorrow.
All in all, another good day and I can see a little improvement. Honestly though, the stuff I've done today wouldn't have happened without this page!2022 Decluttering Campaign 39/104 🏅⭐️
