Sorry to hear your sad news @mothernerd. Thinking of you. Even when your head knows they are ready to go the finality is so hard. Look after yourself and take things at your own pace.
2. Recycling more boxes (from toiletries) 3. Out of date leftovers that were pushed to back of fridge by all the Christmas food 4. Old ink cartridge going to recycling 5. Searched through my office supplies and found a few blue pens hiding at the bottom of a storage box (I thought I had run out of pens and would need to restock, so this is a good find!)
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks. 2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays. 3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉 4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday is a dark, wet day so have amended my daily To Do list to indoor tasks 😉 Stayed in my dressing gown whilst I had my first two cuppas 😃 Bed stripped, DH helped me spin mattress, 1st load in wm. Dinner tonight will be breadcrumbed veal escalopes, boiled potatoes & peas. Btw completed 15th item from Daily list before I went to bed so back on track with 5 tasks for today 🙂 1st load out of the wm, 2nd load now in. 1st load being tumble dried.

Great work villagelife 👏 That was a really early walk 😱
Good start henna123 👏
Great work GrannyKate 👏 especially the frog (& not even Friday 😉)
Welcome aboard The 2022 EDT, try_harder 👋 I have noted your selling target of 250 & everything is crossed for a successful selling campaign 🤞 You will find that I am very inquisitive so in that vein do you have the cash raised earmarked for anything specific? 🙂
Good work on sorting out your sewing projects, vulpix 👏 I see you have contributed the blood but what about the sweat & tears 🤣 My method of not bringing anything into the house is not to go out & to never buy anything online 😅 Btw birthday presents are never clutter 😉
Good work on both the decluttering & tidying, oceanspirit 👏 Hopefully you can get the Christmas decorations completely down, packed & put away today 🤞 I love that you have stocked the freezer with hm goodies so no cooking or shopping & a complete devotion to decluttering & dealing with frogs 😉🙃 Thank you for sharing such a great idea for healthy eating (hopefully this approach will not seem like dieting 🤞) I am awarding you a medal 🏅 for sharing 🙂
So sorry to hear your sad news mothernerd 😔 but it does sound like it was peaceful 😔 As you say “photographs only …. the rest is just stuff” is an excellent decluttering mantra.
We are definitely moving along at express speed, ruby_eskimo 😁 Great work by DH in decorating the kitchen - you had no time to declutter as you were probably keeping him fed & watered & acting as gopher 😉😉 as well as giving yourself some TLC 🙂 Nice Christmas gifts 🙂 Renovating your parents house - What a huge project 😱 but it sounds like you have a very workable plan 👏 Re all your mum’s clothes & the recent purchases perhaps your parents can be persuaded to sell a lot of it to partially fund the renovations 🤞 However, do remember to take some time to care for yourself whether it be doing your own projects or having some down time reading 🙂
Good decluttering Baxtersmum 👏 Time to yourself 🥳 - I have no experience caring for children or grandchildren but I think I can understand your ambivalence 🤪
Welcome aboard The EDT dollypeeps 👋 there is definitely a seat for you 🙂 Re the other members of your household - perhaps ‘losing’ something they need might concentrate their minds to the idea that they need to join you on the decluttering journey 😉 ‘Losing’ being a euphemism for being hidden 😉 😈 You have made a very good start 👏 What a great overall goal for 2022 “ be a more mindful consumer” 👏
Liverpool_Anne, You are excused for not remembering the contents of 25 pages i.e. 250 posts 😁 Excellent decluttering & what a generous present 👏 Great idea to devote time to taking action to promote good mental health 👏🙂
2Scratters, I hope you will be pleased to hear that I had already reserved you a seat 😉 I think you had mentioned last year that you would see us in 2022 😉 So welcome aboard The 2022 EDT 👋 Firstly thank you for working so hard for the NHS 👏 Secondly I hope you can raise enough pennies to mitigate the costs of a new kitchen 🤞 Keep up the good work & I hope that 2 is the finally tally 🤞
What a lovely & thoughtful post daisy_1571 👏 ☺️ There are also some useful ideas for general decluttering 👏
Excellent work princesskitty29 👏 Hopefully your boys won’t miss the pots of useless playdoh now they have the new playdoh 😉 Good luck with the cupboard clearance & cleaning 🍀 hopefully it won’t take the whole year 🤞 Thank you for the medal 🏅 - I get excited as well 😉
Excellent work Baxtersmum 👏
Great work GeorgianaCavendish 👏 & well done on saving some pennies by finding pens 🥳

Mothernerd I'm so sorry that you have lost your Mum. You were a great daughter and did everything that you could to look after her. I am sending you copious hugs and much strength for the coming days 🧡 nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently

And adding to #5 - just found a few rolls of packing tape hiding in my office as well. Another thing I can put off buying for another few months!
