DBro has (finally) rehomed the old lawnmower and hedge trimmer via our local reuse FB page. Both nabbed by two different people within 10 mins of listing.I have once again demolished the ironing mountain range (until the washing comes in) and swapped out the flimsier clothes hangers for the upgraded wood ones. I’ll run the flimsier ones down to our reuse room at the local community centre as they were asking for hangers recently.Plumbers due tomorrow so I’ve been through the cupboard under the sink so they can get to the stop !!!!!! and the pipes for the tap. Having been in the cupboard I now have a ‘don’t buy list’ on my phone and have used up the dregs of cleaning products cleaning the bathroom. I probably need to have a quick look in the shed for cleaning bits so I can add those to the don’t buy list too. 1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedContinuing Saturday - DH has gone to sm for a small shop & just phoned as he lost the list 😉 fortunately I found it on the floor so recited it to him & added another item 😉 DH back & shopping packed away. Dinner was sausages, mash, plum tomatoes & baked beans. Wudupa.
888 - 890 Kitchen recycling, large cardboard box, medium cardboard box - recycled
891 - 893 Kitchen detritus, lr detritus, large bag of new bed packaging - binned
Sunday is another bright, sunny & warm day but with a chilly breeze. I have now cleared down more of the TV planner - have increased space to record to 54% 🙂 DH has washed one of his bikes. DSis is in her room & I am trying to clear down more of the TV planner.
Back to cheerleading.
Liverpool_Anne, Kuwait sounds great & glad you got your luggage back. Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck with your mission to get OH on board with keeping clothing sorted 🍀😉
ocean-spirit, luckily the luggage arrived on the Monday 🙂 One of the bonuses of the skip not being collected promptly is that you get to dispose of more clutter 😉 Great work on the bathroom 👏 & good luck with the bedroom 🍀 there are few things better than sleeping in your own bed 🙂
What a result DuranGirl 👏 A completed craft room at no extra cost - very MSE 🙂 Little & often is a great way to declutter 👏
Excellent work marrob 👏 cards, desk drawers & frogs 🙂
Exciting times ahead EnergyShifter 🙂 Hope you are fully stocked up on tea, coffee & biscuits for your window installers & gardener 😉😉 A week of disruption & then the joy of new windows in plenty of time for the winter 👏 Hope you can can get the blinds you want 🤞
weenancy, apart from doing the washing & drying I have been ‘obeying’ your instructions 😉😉 Now just have one day left 😔 before I start decluttering properly 🙂
That was a good result re your luggage GrannyKate 🙂 Fingers crossed that it is just a cold 🤞 & congratulations on your Premium Bond win - hopefully it is the start of many more wins 🤞Thank you for the reminder re birthday cards - mine are written to the end of the year but I often still manage to post late 😔
Liverpool_Anne, the original holidays were supposed to be in 2020 😔 The bike tour in the USA + a trip to Russia. Rather odd but serendipitous outcome to Covid is that the Russia trip ended up being replaced by a trip to St. Lucia 🙂 Excellent garden decluttering & a great plan for the day 👏 A bit of gentle movement just to stop you stiffening up too much is definitely on the cards. Does your OH make the cakes as well as decorating them? Hope OH is happy with the idea of a dedicated shelf for cake decorating items 🤞& the added bonus that you will both save some money 🙂 Good luck with the plastic tubs & lids sort out 🍀
Thanks for the welcome back Gers 🙂
Great work teachergirl 👏 When you mentioned 50 miniatures I had visions of you falling out of the loft - then I read on 😂 Hope you used the contents to descale your toilet & managed to get your hands clean 🤞
Thanks for the welcome back basketcase 🙂 That is what I call first class service by KLM 🙂 Great advice about the cameras - hand luggage for all future trips 👏 and pictures of luggage is a brilliant shout - thanks for sharing 👏🙂
Such a shame TC77 ☹️ Where you ever able to find another jumper when times were better? Good luck with the frogs - munch, munch 🍀🙂
Well done on getting the third ceiling down Siebrie 👏 Thank heavens it was an empty wasps nest 😄
What a good use of your time mhagster 👏
GrannyKate - shame about no refund or extended time but what a result with the Tesco vouchers. I love the MSE OS Forum - so much knowledge & everyone willing to share 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏
Thanks florianatwobob 🙂

Have acquired a couple more life maintenance paperwork tasks that need resolving. A slow pace with the no spend days but they're increasing...
Glad to see everyone cracking on with the bigger stuff, for me at the moment it's a whole heap of repetitious small tasks rather than Big Stuff!

More tiny steps today to get the bedroom sorted. Cleared the window sills of seedlings. Still got a few to plant outside, but shouldn’t take too long. Also made a cardboard container (out of a snack bar box and some pretty paper scraps) so that my nail varnish is contained and doesn’t just slide around the drawer.
Bedroom is nearly done now I think. I still have to:
- Take another quick pass through the wardrobe (it’s an ongoing thing really)
- Dust the room
- Tidy the piles of things
- Finish some washing
- Do a bit of mending (4 pairs of trousers)
- Decide what to put on one of the window sills
- Buy a new lamp shadeA bedside clock and new bedside lamp can wait until DD moves into her own room. Then I need to move onto the bathroom and probably onto the shed/garden pretty sharpish as DH keeps inviting people round for BBQs and the patio is a total tip..I also have a huge pile of scrap paper, which is A4 printed on a single side (generally not my printing, but letters and stuff saved over the years, although most of it was from my parents house). I never recycle these as it feels a waste and always use them to write on before they get recycled. The pile is a bit out of hand and I’m struggling to close the drawer. I do use them for work as I tend to write a lot of notes that I don’t need to keep forever, but they tend to end up scattered across the desk and I lose them. So I tore them into quarters and put a bulldog clip on the corner so I have myself a nice pad. Lots of work to do at the moment so I’m sure I’ll start making headway through the pile.

Evening Peeps,
we have been pottering about doing bits and as @Mrs_Salad_Dodger Salad_Dodger says it all comes together and any amount will and does make a difference.
Took the last of the winter clothes from the wardrobe and moved them to the loft. What is left clothes wise is the summer bits that fit me and my summer dresses.
Some other clothes items have gone into the loft and placed accordingly.
Winter coats been moved into loft (part of the bedroom clear out for new kitchen) could be next year starting as we have already had an issue with the plans - sorted now though)
Some items have been ear marked for the Car boot/charity shop. DH has done all the windows inside and out looks lovely. All the window sills are clear of clutter now including the bathroom.
The nose art on the living room window was not signed by either dog so they will have to start a new design again
It has taken us 6 years to get to this point. (no rush in this house!!) Remember we down sized from a 4 bed to a 2 bed bungalow
Not quite a hoarder (this is me I am talking about) but definitely a Justin.
1 item from top of the kitchen cupboard has been cleaned and stored in the loft (shockingly filthy).
5 empty shoe boxes pictured and ready for offering out.
All the washing is now done and in big pile ready for a quick sort prior to ironing. This was a thing I used to do in the middle of ironing - not anymore as making efforts to keep the bill down.
2 carrier bags of soft plastic from the car dropped off at M@rrisons. Was chuffed to find out they also accept crisp packets.
The vase from the hallway that was used to store umberella's was ear marked for the CB but is currently in the garden with water in and the broken flowers that the dogs do on running by and breaking them. Also today added the easter lillies as they had keeled over.
There is currently 3 bags in the back bedroom filling steadily for the CB and shopping bags in the loft getting worked on too.
Decluttered the spare dog off the carpets around the house.
Emptied a set of bedside drawers in the wardrobe in readiness just need to do the set in my side and sell the pair. (They won't physically fit in our front bedroom)
I am feeling very productive here at getting some more stuff moving on.
There is a quilt cover that I like the look of but actually don't like it on the bed. I am sat here looking at the pattern and the plain back that it has and am seriously contemplating to make myself 2 dresses from it. That's a definite Justin for now and it won't need ironing yet
Have a good week all
2 Scratters xx

@Mrs SD - I never found a jumper I liked as much, and still keep my eyes out for one the same!
@EnergyShifter, @florianatwobob well done organising all the trades, and hope all finished off well. My decorators managed to get paint all over some furniture (in alcove so only just noticed) and also I think missed part of the hall wall. As it's quite long hall the colour appears lighter near the door but convinced part where they must have done only 1 coat and 2 elsewhere. They are coming back but always hassle and stress for me
Sprayed weeds I can't get up and 1 of 3 plants in the beds. Photo album pages (new and used) picked up by free siter, and 3 folders (new) in CS bag.
