I went to the tip with a bag of dead batteries which had been hanging about taking up space, and 2 bags of rubbish out of my wheely bin which is getting a bit full. I'm away helping family next week and I didnt want it sitting there. Dropped off yesterdays items at the chaz and added a phone stand thingy and a kitchen gadget for avocados, which I don't eat. 35items so far.Magnolia Stellata9

Sounds like you are having a brilliant time @Mrs_Salad_Dodger .Well I'm not feeling great today. Some sort of combination of extreme tiredness, dehydration (forgot to drink enough, which is a nightmare when bf'ing) and possibly fighting something off as well. Anyway, I am sat around just feeling sorry for myself. However... buoyed by my success of tackling the huge pensions frog, I didn't want to waste my lying around (and drinking copious amounts of water) time, so I tackled some very easy digital clutter and went a bit nuts...Long story short, I just permanently deleted 500 emails and 55 photos. There are loads of emails and photos still to go through as well as other bits and pieces. I've just smashed through my target again and no idea what to set a new one to. I might go completely mad and aim for 3,000!654 - 708 - photos deleted709 - 1208 - emails permanently deleted2025 decluttering: 3,324🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Having happy holidays there @Mrs_Salad_Dodger and @vulpix.
Slowed down a bit today. Went to the garden centre to use a voucher and also get a free tea. Got some garlic bulbs at 50p. They can be planted in spring. Going to stick them in the freezer to start them off. Went to the allotment but tired so did some remedial tidying up. I also prepped the grass path for further sod lifting by cutting in lines with a spade.
Mnanaged a nap in the sun
Popped in to Sisters partner who had been unwell with covid. He has a load of plants I took months ago to plant but didn't get them in. Not seen him since. I dug a 12 x 2 ft patch of grass out in readiness to put in the plants but was wiped out after that. And rained off. Will go back in the week to finish off.
On a good note he is starting to think of dating again. Over 3 years since DSis died.
Hope to parcetamol and a lie down.
I have to say my fitness is much improved. No way could I have done all that in one go a few months agoHe did supply 3 teas in the two hours I was there so maybe that was it.

Arrgh looks as if post lost! So much going on across the thread but little here. Fab to hear SDs and weenancy met up.
2 tops into CS along with 1 book, cricket bat and heated brush - not enough to take but struggling as next round will be more difficult things to get rid of. Putting a few bits fancy hair clips (my hair too short for this now and forever), bangles to see if either DD wants them. Picking up winter duvet and things from DD1 as she has small flat and meant to be venturing in the rat infested garden to help tidy it before landlord inspection on Monday. Wellies and spade will be top of list to take.
Also some emails deleted and few bits of paper,829
Do want to up my game, as still adding to my stress, and as getting more forgetful and wobbly need things to be safe. Banged head on kitchen cupboard yesterday (bit of a bump but otherwise fine) - blood tests not back - query was clumsy and forgetful.?
@bit_by_bit glad your fitness improved, and hope others are resting /being kind to themselves this weekend. Off to the TLC carriage - becoming part of the fixture and fittings, and have sampled large variety of cakes and biscuits...may need restocking11 -
Today has been a strange day. It was our monthly book sale and fortunately two of the other board members came in to help out as we had to have half the sale outside and half inside because it actually sprinkled here. Almost never happens in May. Must be because Mrs. S_D is here and needed the cooler weather for the first ride day (to one of the usually hottest places in California). A lot of our regular customers didn't come in because of the weather. The treasurer picked up the money before we counted it, but it was down this month. My roommate who was helping out as she is also on the board called home to remind one of our roommates to feed the cats to find our other roommate had gone out, gotten really drunk, fallen, hit his head pretty badly, and was just then being put in an ambulance. Roommate who was to feed cats remembered the indoor cats but not the outside cat, but he called later to tell me so I got her fed when we got home. Couldn't find which hospital they had taken roommate to as his "usual" hospital said he wasn't there (been there six times in last year and a half). We have a number of possible hospitals. Called around until I found him. They had done a CAT scan, but couldn't tell me much else. I am his only legal contact person at this point. Unfortunately he has a little one-man dog that is now whining like crazy. If they keep him for a couple of days, the dog will keep it up the whole time. Now home trying to recover from day.10

Van packed with all our luggage & 24 people loaded int two mini buses Left 8:25 drove to bike shop, bought a couple of T-shirts. Everyone had to sort insurance & paperwork for their bikes. Being cleaned. Left at 10:50, I405 South out of LA. First stop was for coffee 12:27 about a 30 min stop. Then travelled east past Lake Elsinore filled up with petrol. Then onto Idyllwyld - lovely bendy, snoopy road to 6,000 feet. So much for a tourist trap couldn’t get a coffee as everything closed at 4:00 p.m. Managed a coffee from the market, left at 4:30 stopped at Indian View for team photo & photos of the beautiful ‘fog’/ low cloud. Back down the windy mountain through the cold & high wind into blue sky & sunshine into Palm Springs. Had a beer whilst our luggage was unloaded then off to our rooms to shower & change for dinner. Went to a lovely Italian restaurant for a group meal. Lively & interesting conversations, excellent food & a live singer. Left at 9:15. I have caught up with AB2 & sitting in the lobby (no signal in our room) & typing this in notes before trying to post it. It has been a marvellous first day of riding - although 8 bikes ‘toppled’ including our guide’s bike. As soon as this is posted we are off to repack & go to bed. Need to be ready to leave 7:30 a.m. P.S. DH rode excellentlyeven though not ridden at all for 8 weeks.
I will cheerlead when I get somewhere with a better signal - hence no emojis.
Good night

@EnergyShifter - thanks for advice re railcard - I do have some Clubcard vouchers so I will look into it and any other offers about.
Collected car after day at garage - they assured me they can find absolutely nothing wrong with it (Grrr) - offered to keep it for a week and have mechanic drive it every day whilst I have a courtesy car or wait for it to happen again and bring it straight in - children say I should get rid of car. No charge which was a relief.
RL has been very difficult - won't say much on here but it was midnight before I could get DGCs off to sleep as they were so upset. DS2 back today from visiting friends.
No decluttering done. I managed to spend an hour and a half in town without spending a penny and bus was free too.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Someone, possibly @vulpix mentioned they'd given/sold things to a film/theatre prop place? have some 30s/40s/50s things that I don't want to throw out but may be useful for period drama etc. Also have found early C20th fox fur

Carrying on with the no spend days but it's definitely a spendy week due to lots of music documentaries at the local arthouse.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

My roommate home from hospital last night with staple in his head. Not sure how this day is going to go with one roommate having brain fog problems, one hit on his head, and the is probably going to sleep forever as he was up until 5:00 am this morning.
Mrs S_D - if a bushy-red-haired female says hello to you in Pismo Beach by name it might be my sister Amy. Both of my sisters and their OHs and one nephew and his family, are all going to be in Pismo Beach about the same time you get there. They are camping out on the beach for a week. Hope you are enjoying your trip even with the slightly strange weather we are having.10
