2289-2292: 200 emails deleted - I sorted out my inbox so everything goes into one and TBH it seems a lot easier for me to use that way.
2293-2307: items to recycling or bin, will need 2 trips to the bins downstairs
2308: another carrier to return to the supermarket delivery chap tomorrow.
Time to make a start on the 21-22 tax paperwork, I think it's pretty much all here. Will soon find out.

Changed my decluttering activities a bit for this week ahead. Although most of it is now finishing tidying up and the very dull digital decluttering, I found myself still slightly stressed about the physical stuff. Although overall the amount of stuff in the house is ok now, I asked myself why I was a bit stressed with it and quickly made a note of the areas I disliked and were a bit rammed in. It was actually a bit eye opening to see, but also gives me some direction with the decluttering. So this week is more digital decluttering and also picking through the areas on the dislike list. Some I can't do too much about as I am storing excess clothes/shoes/toys for DD from DS. Eventually that will go as they won't grow as fast and I'm sure they won't want to share such things. I am trying to ignore it as it is a temporary annoyance really and will see what else I can do. It might seem minor, but my life is reasonably stressful/time short and this is a thing I can control and hopefully means other tasks (like tidying etc) will become much easier and quicker. As I work from home, I like to get up away from the screens relatively often, so will do 5 mins of tidying/decluttering throughout the week (or other chores) so I maximise my weekends with the kids.Logged onto the local buy nothing group and saw a post about wanting bubble wrap. Well obviously I jumped on that as I hate to ever bin anything. Got rid of a massive bag full!Anyway, progress today already as below. Digital decluttering I tend to do in the evenings if I'm watching TV as lets face it, it is incredibly dull!1833 - 1853 - Bubble wrap1854 - 1855 - Bathroom stuff used up1856 - free water bottle not needed (grr.. I never accept this stuff, but DH always does and it sits there for years before I eventually get rid of it)1857 - make up I never use and is very old1858 - Boots which are so uncomfortable I never wear them1859 - 1887 - digital bookmarks deleted2025 decluttering: 3,324🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

My neighbour returned the spare bed. I had kind of hoped they would want to use it for longer, but it is currently pride of place in my lounge as I need to leave it downstairs so I can paint the room before refilling it!
More stuff into the charity bag though. I got a facial steamer upon doctors advice to help my lungs during a bout of Covid - now I am fully recovered I have no need of it and refuse to keep it just in case (I hate facial treatments where they steam you and just get overheated and grumpy).
Working my way through slowly.
Looking forward to hearing the holiday stories @Mrs_Salad_DodgerSome days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Found out what was biting me … bed bugs! It took me several weeks to get there and in less than 48 hours of calling pest company the population exploded and they were running about during the day. Have decamped to OH’s conservatory as every single room had to be fumigated and I am not allowed to vacuum or clean anything for 14 days. I am hoping it hasn’t been spread to OH’s - only time will tell. He is doing a hurried declutter and spring clean as a preventative measure.Am feeling somewhat shocked as the only place I have been recently is hospital outpatients, A&E and doctors surgery so don’t know where they came from.
So major declutter is being forced upon me. Skip is coming tomorrow and already have several bin bags ready to go. Loads of washing clothes, towels and bedding to be done in the coming days and once the 14 days are up the whole place will need to be emptied and cleaned as apparently there will be a sticky residue from the insecticide and there will be dead insects to clean up.
With my chronic fatigue, arthritis, related mobility restrictions plus other health issues which after 6 months are still undiagnosed (hence the hospital appointments) I just do not need this. I am hoping to sort out some sort of help once the 14 days are up but there is no space in my brain as yet to think about it.I am glad I started decluttering some time ago however am sad that it wasn’t finished as this would have been so much easier to deal with with less stuff lying about.
Sorry for the long post - it has been a trying 6 months and am crossing my fingers that I can get through it without a fatigue crash and hopefully be back in my own bed in about 3 weeks.Does anyone know of a good all round steam cleaner that isn’t too big and heavy to use? OH would like to get one as part of his preventative measures and it would be good to use in my place to ensure any strays don’t set up a new colony. Apparently given the right conditions the bugs can last up to a year without feeding so I want to be sure I never have to go through this again.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅9
