Hey hey. Greetings from bonnie Scotland.Today we have been to Muckle Flugger, the northern most tip of the UK. Whilst there DD1 being the country girl that she is sat on a sheep whilst BF cut it out of a large amount of barbed wire it had wrapped itself in,picked up from the military base there. We had gone on ahead and knew nothing of it. ! We are enjoying our stay very much. I could very easily live here in the Shetland Islands. How lovely you got to meet up Mrs SD and wee Nancy. I have made an amazing new friend from this thread, we meet up regularly. Who would think it. I think we all have a lot in common here and that is a good basis for friendships.Welcome Sammy-Kaye , nice to see you,we know each other from another thread here.I am sorry to hear of the loss of your old friend triple H. XxHave a fab holiday Mrs SD.

After my pensions related frog swallowing, I then decided to sort out my spreadsheet that tracks it all. I had multiple tabs and tables and it was all far more complicated than I ever needed. I now have just one tab and it’s a lot simpler.
That’s mainly kept me quiet, but I did manage to do a bit of digital decluttering along the way. Really need to sort out my ever growing emails and clear up the room of doom though. Hopefully I’ll find time to tackle these tomorrow.

1. Make the most of chance meetings & conversations
2. Enjoy every day regardless of the weather 😉3. Remember that DH & I are in the fortunate position to be able to afford a holidayOur room had been cleaned 👏 We rearranged the contents of the suitcases but then DH came over all peculiar so had a nap & then a shower. The meet & greet started about 4:00 p.m. - just half the group 😱 In total there will be 15 bikes & 24 people. Our guide Josh introduced us to our van driver Tim (will have all our cases & loads of water & snacks), went through all the instructions re riding & rules of the road, stopping for breaks & photos and evening rituals in THREE languages - English, French & Spanish. Our group was 5 French (2 couples & a single male), 3 Australian brothers, 2 Catalan (husband & wife) & 2 English (DH & me). (The other 12 are apparently all French 😉) Very friendly group. We all tried on our Eagle Rider jackets & were given our Velcro badges re type of tour (Wild West) & our National flag. Everyone then dropped off their jackets in their rooms & we all met up in the bar 20 minutes later. DH & I had a pizza & coke, chatted to the Aussies for a few minutes (I donated a packet of cigarettes as they had forgotten to buy any at the airport 😱) then a ciggie for me & chatted to the Catalan couple who also smoke & I learnt my first words of Catalan 🙂 DH & I were both back in our room by 8:30 p.m. Breakfast starts at 6:00 a.m. & we need to have checked out & be in the minibus with all our suitcases etc by 7:45 a.m. to be taken to pick up our bikes. It will be a shock to our systems 😬
Sounds like you are having a great time vulpix 🙂 You will have to visit the Shetland Islands in January/February & then decide whether or not to move 😉😉 New friends are always a bonus vulpix especially if you can talk decluttering 😉😉Great work on sorting your pension tracking spreadsheet QueenJess 👏 plus the digital decluttering 👏 Good luck with the emails & the room of doom 🍀
See you all tomorrow 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Small bag of things to the chaz. I'm on about 30 items out so far this year. Sent back a pair of shoes which didn't fit, so still need something to walk in this summer. Boxed up 12 of the nicest jars for someone on freecycle who wants them 👍thanks for whoever suggested that!Magnolia Stellata11

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger and @weenancyinAmerica - fabulous that you two got to meet! The internet can be a very dark place and I'm glad to see a beautiful flash of sunshine in your meeting up!
I've been AWOL for a bit, but have been pushed into another purge - a friend needed to borrow my spare bed (a folding one that hasn't been folded back up since before lockdowns etc) and the amount of junk I found shoved under it has been shameful!
On the plus side, I found a swimsuit I'd utterly forgotten about that still fits, and I've booked a mini trip to Corfu so the timing is perfect. I don't think decluttering into a suitcase counts, but it's one less thing to buy
@stellata - I second the thanks for whoever suggested jamjars on freecycle - I'll be doing the same thing this week too.
Hugs to all who need them today xSome days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I am enjoying hearing all about the SD's holiday and everyone else's trips.
785 Car to garage - hoping for the best
786 Unsubscribed to various trash
787 A bit more drive cleaning
788 All floors vacuumed and hard areas mopped.
789 General cleaning, dusting and tidying while I have house to myself
790 Fridge cleaned out and some items used up or thrown away
791 Quiz done and papers to recycling
792 Banking done - could be worse
Senior Rail Card needs renewing 22 June - undecided at the moment - I certainly didn't get good value out of this three year one due to Covid but in the past I got my money back on only a few short trips. Might just buy 1 year pass this time and see how it goes. Off to town on the bus shortly and then I can walk up to collect car. Might have an amble around shops and try not to spend much. I think I need to use my Boots card so I may go in there and find something I need. I could get DGS4 some hay fever tablets as he is taking them every day at the moment.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hello all
Glad that Mrs and Mr SD are enjoying their holiday and pleased that they met up with weenancyHope that everyone else is well.
We "did" our loft yesterday, I was ashamed of the things that we found up there. Why was I keeping my first birthday cards, never mind my 21st cards and all my school reports????? They've all been binned/recycled/shredded now, after I had read them all. There is now loads of space in the loft which is NOT going to be filled up again...... DH went off this morning with two full carloads, first to the charity shop, then to the tip. It's given me back some motivation now, so I'm ready to start again with renewed vigour735-765. Items taken to the tip
766-791. Items taken to the charity shop
792-822. Items recycled
823-833. Items shredded
834-841. Books donated
842-846. Items recycled
847. 100 emails deleted
848. Junk mail recycled
849. Emails answered and filed
850. Unsubscribed from emails

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
