Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅9 -
@oceanspirit...you've so much on your plate...hope you can get through the 14 days, and get some help sorting out and cleaning afterwards and then a rest. Horrid having to decamp. Glad you got some decluttering done. I've had pests (different types) and is really wearing. Hope you can get to the TLC carriage and have tea, cake and massage.
Did some tidying up and like with like so I can see the dining room table and few other items and makes a difference although starting to be covered up again.
Not alot of decluttering , few bits of paper, someone coming to pick up a flask tonight (fingers crossed), lots of frog calls, now have contact for DD1 consultant as ankle not healing so will call tomorrow, arranged to take my mobile to be repaired, and reached out for some quotes for work (fingers crossed people turn up), tidied shed abit, and abit of weeding, Hospital appt on a sunday as they play catch up - offered minor surgery, apparently I asked about problems and when I hesitated he said only telling me as I asked!? will have to give thought, 3 frogs relating to DDs. Few things for CS but will count when all in a bag.

An out of order post - still have previous days escapades to report on 😉
Had a very restless Sunday night waking up every hour on the hour until 4:00 a.m. Monday (we were staying in Red Feather Lodge Grand Canyon - very nice room & the bed was comfortable) & then stayed awake until 6:20 a.m. when the suitcases had to be loaded onto the van. The restaurant serving breakfast didn’t/wouldn’t open before we left 😖 So coffee & crackers. Drove to Grand Canyon Airport, got weighed then took our half hour helicopter trip down the Grand Canyon. Guess what, go on guess …………………… yes you got it - I sat in the front next to the pilot Ian 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Words cannot describe what a wonderful experience it was 🙂 Then we rode round the rim of the Grand Canyon heading to Monument Valley. Lunchtime we stopped in Cameron for a picnic lunch (Navajo country) extremely windy so had to hang onto our paper plates & water bottles 😉😉 Then arrived at our overnight place Kayenta Monument Valley Inn, put our suitcases in our room & then headed off to Monument Valley. Transferred from our bikes to open trucks & driven round Monument Valley by a native Navajo. The scenery was stupendous & our driver Jamie was excellent - he even treated us to flute playing & sang a Navajo song. Again I do not have the words to describe what a joyous & uplifting experience we had. Sadly our 12th bike of 16 ‘toppled’ & we thought the rider & pillion had sustained injuries - but happily not - plenty of others around to pick the bike up off the unfortunate people ( a French couple). Drove back to our Inn, take out pizza for 12 eaten in the restaurant but we did buy our soft drinks - no alcohol can be bought in the Navajo Nation - the other 14 people ate elsewhere. An interesting fact for anyone who is interested - time zone can change 7 times in Arizona 😱
DH is snoring away & I am just about to join him 😉
Btw I have decluttered a few items
859 - 862 Two pairs of Sunday knickers, one pair of old fingerless gloves ( I bought a new pair or rather DH bought them for me 😉) & one hair elastic.
I promise I will catch up with holiday tales & cheerleading 🙂
Good night from a tired but very happy MrsSD

I've been mixing my tidying and decluttering this week. My general logic is that if the house is messy all the time, we must have too many things. It kind of makes sense as I like things to be away properly/organised and so if the drawers/cupboards are too rammed, I hate tidying and do it much less. The areas I also wrote down as the areas of "stress" are basically all the storage which is very full.I've been opening drawers/cupboards this week and if it looks very full, I've had a rummage to challenge myself as to whether I actually need everything that's in there. It's slow progress now as I do think we generally have less stuff than the average house and it's rooting out the last bits and pieces as well as identifying the things we used to use, but don't anymore due to kids growing up, lives changing etc etc.Anyway, enough of my wittering on. @Mrs_Salad_Dodger if you are too busy to catch up on here, then it sounds like that's the perfect type of holiday to me
Enjoy yourself and you can catch up when you are back.

Big hugs and positive energetic vibes @oceanspirit.
Wowowowowowowow Mrs SD. I am so happy for you and a teensy bit jealous. Keep on enjoying your break.
A good day today. Decluttered a bag of gifts and a bag of plants to various people.
I had bit of a sort out in my garden as I potted on a load of cuttings and seedling and chucked some failed ones.
Tomorrow I am sowing a load of seed which I hope will be ready to plant when I come back from Canada. MiL is looking after them so I am trying to keep watering to a minimum with all my pots being mulched and all the small stuff hiddden in the shade so she doesn't have to worry about it.
