Today wasn't a great day. I've felt awful all day. Don't know if I just pushed myself too much yesterday, not really felt up to doing much physical decluttering today so instead I've focused on digital decluttering by clearing out my emails, messages, phone storage etc
It's about all I've been able to manage today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.£2021 in 2021 total =£2220.00

Feeling very happy with my progress today, I have managed to get quite a lot of stuff out of my flat. My Dad is going to do a tip run later in the week, so I have taken a load of stuff over to my folks' house for him to take for me.
1. Broken printer (replaced 5 months ago 🙄)
2-3. Camping chairs both of which had unfixable broken arms. I had them for about 15 years so they've done well. I got a director's style chair for Christmas which is much smaller and lighter so much better for craft fairs and camping.
4. Huge box full of flattened cardboard boxes.
5. Bin bag full of shredded paper
6. Bag full of polystyrene from printer and sewing machine packaging.
7-8. Two bags full of general recyclable rubbish.
9. Bag full of glass jars.
10. Two flimsy wooden crates from veg box deliveries.
Phew! That's made a bit of room.
Just about to wash up and tidy the kitchen, then do a bit of crochet in front of the TV.
Looks like there's lots of amazing progress being made - we'll soon be unhitching a carriage with everything we're leaving behind!2022 Decluttering Campaign 39/104 🏅⭐️

Thanks @Foofoopuppy it would probably be useful to go through it out of one house and into the other. The new house is bigger, my OH runs a business and we went online during the pandemic so we have a bunch of stock and packing materials that will have a new home in the garage (something we don't have here).
I did the Marie Kondo decluttering about 5 years ago and I've been careful about adding more things but they do creep in. However there is nothing in the loft i refused point blank to have anything up there so it didn't become a junk hole so no need to clear that out.
Today i've been decluttering items that are here because of postal needs so new year cards for family, new baby outfit for our new niece etc. once those have been put in the post tomorrow i shall go through the desks.#19 Make £2025 in 2025 £8.32/£2025"Remember not to do too many things at once" said me to herself.Mortgage Free Wannabe #25 2025 OP £500/£600014 -

So today has been all about getting straight, slower than in previous years as DD is a big helper which slows things down massively (although it does appear that she can sort the washing into the tumble dryer, clean the filter and turn it on all by herself - she's 2.5 😱😱😱, so not complaining as that will lead to much time saving in the future)
While we did the cards, decs and tree, DH cleared a few areas which had become dumping grounds for (mostly) his stuff.

so much going on.. @EnergyShifter and others, I still have to do tax but often break down into collecting/finding info etc, so will count several times - only way I can cope.
18 -19 papers out
20 - 21 2 x 15mins putting things back in right place
22 item returned
23 unsubscribing
24 more progress on frog including some scanning
25 some files on PC deleted. Not sure i understand one drive as things seem to get saved to it and on PC. think I will have to set time aside to sort out my PC. No proper filing system -think could be a year on its own!
26-27 important emails posted
My ears still haven't recovered from flight a week ago but chewing lots of sweets - may help if I chew enough!
Counting each 15 min of sorting and putting like with like ... think the way forward, found rolls of tape in different places etc

Evening MrsSD & fellow declutterers, happy new year to all. Well, I got straight into it today on the decluttering and cleaning front. One microwave (ancient 😉), 12 AA batteries (out of power), two lightbulbs (out of light), and a TV sat Nav box (end of its shelf life) all went to the tip today. The linen for both beds have been washed and dried. Bins have been emptied. Targets for this year continue to be ongoing decluttering of the attic (car boot sales, private selling), a potential redecorating of our main bedroom (hopefully my wife's mental health and anxiety will cope with any upheaval), supporting my Auntie (84 this year) with the decluttering of her greenhouses and garden ahead of delivery of a new kitchen in mid Feb and general maintenance and cleaning of the house (more regular cleaning). I'll continue to post on this thread as the year progresses so let's see how the year goes. Cheers 😊12

Good evening. This train is getting very busy.
Not much to report yet.
1 recycling out
2 bins emptied.
3-5 150+ e-mails deleted, Did a few surveys while doing that.
6-12. Baking trays/tins to a friend who is taking them to the recycling at the tip.
13-14 2 casserole dishes to same friend for her own use.
Some things have sold on e-bay but not counting them until they have left the house.
I could do with getting rid of a few pounds as well. More than a few really :-)
All the best for the New Year. Take care.

A productive day taking down the Christmas deccies. We also had an unexpected quick scan of the deccies which didn’t come out this year and found some to be donated to charity. They’ve been added to the bag ‘to go’.More recycling in the appropriate bins too.DSis has been on a washing frenzy which, whilst lovely, does mean that after clearing my ironing pile NYE I now have more to do….
The kitchen however has had a good tidy and clean and the floor in there and the bathroom has been mopped.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
