TC77, if they are not good enough to donate, keep the ones you feel least-worst for gardening / decorating and bag the rest up marked as RAGS and drop at a charity shop.
I now have just one "mucky" outfit - jeans, tee-shirt & hoodie, then the rest are sorted into WFH and smarter work / weekend / out-out clothes (still too many though!)

Well it won't win any prizes but the bed is made (one side and the top of the bed are both against walls so each sheet/ cover has to be put on the bed and then I have to get onto the bed and kneel/crawl across smoothing it out - then the mattress needed to be pushed back a few inches to the headboard, so the whole process is exhausting). However it's clean, warm (last night was chilly again, pulled the window to but not closed) and comfortable and only me and the essentials are on it.
Still have work to do on the floor but mostly clear and I have 3 more or less empty cube boxes and space on the shelves for 2 of them (third can go in the wardrobe if need be). The important thing is I resisted the urge to dump all the little bits in boxes which would have cleared the space quickly but I would then have had to go through each box of assorted gubbins (mostly useful but needs containing/categorising) which may be partly why the bed got into such a state in the first place. Some room on the shelves yet because I didn't put stuff that would fit there unless it really belonged there.
Should have food for most of the week and some to put away (will portion and box up when I go downstairs and then work out what to do with the remaining chicken and veg). Very satisfied with what I did yesterday (if we have any insomniacs I listed most of the stages as I did them) so going to count which veg I used up and have that as my total. Onions, leeks, carrots, celery, courgette, yellow pepper, red pepper, mushrooms, parsnips (lots of parsnips), baby potatoes (and cut up 2 oranges and ate those) eleven. Just need to find my diary (can see it) and add on to my previous total. 1465/2022.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage11 -

10 year ago I had only a few folders for home and personal stuff, but with DD ill, my health, other RL stuff now have so many more, and need to get a grip. Managed to clutter a stone so haven't been able to sort clothes.
What do you do with those clothes not good enough for CS but ok for wearing round the house - but really have too many or don't make you feel good - relegated alot to gardening/painting....

Evening
Sorted out a tub today, more papers recycled and shredded. Ended up with 2 part filled A4 notepads which i've kept for doing notes of meetings (i attend lots of meetings for work:)
Found 4 gift vouchers belonging to DD1 - all in date, one was for JL for £50 and one was for b00ts for £30 - she was delighted as she can treat herself to some new make up and skincare
Donated my old recycling tub lids to my neighbour.
Threw away 20+ pairs of old tights.
Feeling very focused on getting a grip and love my tidy calm bedroom(lots of stuff still in the spare room but the amount is going down ....)
Love to all

No cramps in the hands Saturday and Sunday, but my right hand is curled up like a talon, looks so ugly I am typing this with one finger, but I can manage.I was so happy today. In the bottom of a cupboard under the stairs I had stashed books and carrier bags of oddments to make space for Xmas stuff in the diner, and surprise surprise it was still there, untouched for 4 months.!
Grabbed one bag today full of paper, notebooks, postcards booklets etc,and was delighted to find scribbled on a little jotter an address, phone number and website of a relative who was missing from my list when I transferred stuff from my old address book to a new one last week..Phew,relief.
Not so happy that a cousin I used to do family history with, pre-covid ,asked me for any info on a long dead relative,as someone on Amazon has been linked to our family by DNA. Have to confess that since our history group closed down early 2020, I have just stuffed files and papers pretty much anywhere. I had to unearth a couple of boxes of stuff today, and they are an absolute mess, out of order - and incidentally not the right side of the family tree.Have to explain tomorrow that 2 years of brainfog meant I I couldnt cope or focus on the family studies, and will need to sort through a lot of stuff to unearth the relevant info, and honestly I feel disconnected with the whole thing, which is sad after 18 yrs of study and expense to do as much as I have.I am sure that I have marriage certificates where the person in question was witness at the marriage of my grandparents, and I think the other witness was her boyfriend, later to be her husband, but thats all I remember, and heaven alone knows WHERE that info is lurkingAt least its a prod to wake up and sort out the masses of photos, paperwork, etc that is cluttering up my house. I neednt condemn Mr Dusty,I am just as badOops,I have just gone back and made at a dozen corrections to this post. Apparently using one finger when the others are curled up underneath is not the best way,so I'll end now,as I can feel some of the fingers wanting to cramp up. Here's hoping I'll be a bit better tomorrow10 -

Was on my own with DD today and so I got her to "help" (i.e. not make more of a mess than we started with!) me declutter a few things this afternoon. I also listed all my stuff on the local buy nothing group and have lots of interest already. Hopeful I will have an emptier house by the end of the week and also will find time to tidy up my library*, which is the dumping room.Anyway, items decluttered today:78-79 - deflated balloons80-97 - baby clothes DD has grown out of98 - shorts that are too big for me99 - a t-shirt I never wear100 - a broken toyIt's insane I'm on 100 already.. where does all this stuff come from?! To be fair, I've just finished (bar the odd thing), sorting out all DD's clothes as she's gone onto the next size. Won't need to do this again for 6 months. I do need to have another look at some of my clothes now I'm back to work tomorrow after maternity leave. I think I haven't got much else to declutter now as I've hit all the worst areas, although I always seem to find something else!A bit jealous of all the great email decluttering going on in this thread. I've been steadfastly sorting through 20 emails everyday for this whole year and I still have over 150 emails in my inbox! I do read them all when they come in (or scan them), but don't necessarily deal with them. I've been painstakingly going through each one to sort it properly and unsubscribe to everything possible so hopefully I am getting fewer emails than when I started.*Yes an actual library in a spare bedroom. I love books and was my childhood dream to have one. I even have a database of all the books I have so if I'm out 2nd hand shopping (I never buy books new), I can check whether I already have it!
