Very pleased to hear that Mr S D is on the mend. I hear that shingles is very nasty indeed.Hello new joiners and nice to see folk who haven’t been on for a while.I am still plodding on with gentle decluttering. My notebook with numbers is all the way down stairs! Will update when the stars align and me, notebook and phone are all in the same place.Mr V is pacing🤣 we are going to choose a new to us car. Then off to the world famous Bury market. Whilst out I am on the lookout for some espadrilles to wear at the wedding we are going to in a couple of weeks.Builders have started on the back yard. I didn’t take a proper before pic. Electrician came and I had to empty under the stairs for him. I have decided to be ruthless with it all and get rid of even more. I am sure if I haven’t needed it in the last year it’s been in boxes I probably don’t need to keep it. We have some time off work in May so if it’s fine we could do a car boot sale.Got to go, pacing is now at Olympic standards.Vx:10

Hi Mrs SD, glad to hear Mr SD's shingles is getting better. My sister had it and it's no fun.Been off for the last few days. My mojo and its friend Oomph have been on a long holiday, but I've been reading and congratulations and commiserations to all as appropriate. The 15 minutes daily went a bit off-track, but I have been decluttering. Otherwise I've just about done daily basics, plus a trip to the allotment. For a couple of days I've been suffering from what I thought was sinusitis brought on by harsh cleaning products (eg Jeyes Fluid) which always happens, so I wasn't surprised. But...Having developed an annoying cough, I did a LFT, just in case. It was positive. No wonder I was struggling! So that's me grounded till after 1 May.2 major sessions of decluttering did take place. Firstly sorting my freezer and cooking the "I forgot about that" bits. Yesterday I went to the allotment, pulled the last of the leeks and weeded 3 raised beds.I'll have to see how I feel next week, but maybe a bit of gentle decluttering would make me feel not quite so useless - and, of course, get something done.

Eek can't believe how long it has been since I last posted (20th March!) And I still don't have much to add to my decluttering list. I've tried over the last few nights to catch up but still 10 pages behind. Sending hugs to all who need them x
GD1 doesn't sleep more than a couple of hours so instead of sitting in bed dropping to sleep all day, DD1 has been getting up and coming here each day when her OH is at work. I absolutely love the baby snuggles so much that I've not been doing anything while they are here. Still can't believe she's 6 weeks already.
We still have a few bits in the storage unit, we haven't been back for a few weeks.
I really need to get my butt in gear and get something done. I just look around at all tge stuff and don't know where to start or what I do do doesn't make a difference to how bad it looks then I get down because it doesn't look any better, then I don't want to do it because it doesn't make a difference...... its a viscous circle.
So list to date from mid March is
809-818 1000 emails deleted
819-868 50 clothing items (3 Black bags) to clothing bin
869 Black back of rubbish from a conservatory sort
870 Carrier bag of rubbish from a quick look through a box from unit
871-875 500 emails deleted
876 Hair brush
877-878 2 pillows
879-882 Empty bottles from bathroom
883 Unravelling shower scrunchie
884-885 Plate and glass (I knocked glass out of cupboard on to plate, smashed both)
886 Bag of rubbish from girls room
887 Pile of cardboard from girls room
888-907 way OOD Items from the pantry (really need to redesign so things are seen)
908 full bottle soy sauce (dd3 used it for cooking at school and so it didn't leak on the way home she put it inside one of the zip lock bags, was great thinking but out of the 4 she had she put it in to the one that had had raw chicken in it, didn't want to risk using it after)LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
Mortgage@1 June 18 - £76350
Total debt @june 18 £102311
Debt Jan 25 £8282
Mortgage £51215. Total debt now £5949711 -
Another productive day decluttering wise. Got a bit addicted again as I feel so much better when all this stuff is gone and my house can more easily be tidied. Seems to be never ending with two kids anyway and particularly whilst they are so young!45 - deleted another app I never use from my phone46 - 47 - baby hats that no longer fit48 - a deflated balloon for the bin49 - 73 - plant pots decluttered from the shed (some for recycling at the garden centre and some to give away locally on the buy nothing group).74 - 77 - old baby seat with accessories & instructionsGot loads of items to get listed to give away. Will give me something to do in my lunch hours next week! The old car seat is great as the bigger size was cluttering up one of the rooms and this one stays in the car. Makes a big difference.2025 decluttering: 2,397🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅

Just back from my dad's where I did abit, 2 tip trips although not huge amounts, and 1 bag to CS and 1 bag for rags. Resisted buying lovely cups and saucers in CS, kept looking and my DB who was down as well stared at me in shock at the thought of me buying anything when we have a house with nearly a century of things to sort! He was also taken aback by my saying things could be useful - but have put craft things in a box which will then pass to playgroup etc.
RL abit much, DD1 stressed about getting back to uni as ankle not healed after accident and had hardly any physio. Back to loads of post inc Talk Talk charging £100+ for leaving when agreed they wouldn't as awful service for around a year.
Will add nos later when hopefully unpacked and few frogs sorted. sadly not much difference between my house and my dad's (I should be able to do better)!
Glad Mr SD on mend, hope @basketcase that you don't feel too ill, and hugs to all. Been reading a book on compassion, for self and others, and hopefully helping.11 -
TC77, that's a good idea to classify stuff at your dads, it's challenging work clearing a parental home.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday has been another pleasant day - some sunshine, occasionally overcast & now cloudy & threatening rain. DH woke up feeling a lot better but was suffering again within an hour 😔 - so is still taking pain killers & going for a lie down frequently 😉 Today has been rather more productive than yesterday as I have managed to stay awake all day 🙂 Two frogs dealt with - kettle descaled & voting form completed. Also dealt with all my outstanding post - writing cheques, filing etc.; transposed the last of my recipes from scraps of paper to my new recipe notebook; peeled & cooked all the past their best vegetables (sadly some vegetables were irretrievable so had to be composted - hangs head in shame) 😔; used up lo mash, boiled potatoes, gravy & half the cooked vegetables to make a soup which is currently cooking on the hob; emptied the shredder bin and swept the kitchen, cloakroom & entrance floors 🙂 The rest of the roasted vegetables will be bagged, labelled & frozen once cool. Dinner is going to be D pizzas.
686 - 694 Two company accounts books, 2 Brochures, 2 booklets, 0.5” sundry paperwork, kitchen recycling, plastic bottle - recycled
695 - 696 Kitchen detritus, 0.5” shredding - binned
Excellent work GrannyKate especially dealing with the insurance frog 👏 Hope you enjoy time with the little people 🙂
vulpix, MrSD is getting very fed up 😩 - it will be 4 weeks on Monday & although the rash is clearing, the pain is still there 😔 Nothing wrong with gentle decluttering 👏🙂 Good luck to you & MrV with the choosing of a new to you car 🍀 Hope the builders don’t create too much mess 🤞
basketcase, have to agree that MrSD is definitely not having fun 😉 Apparently he was less than sympathetic when a work colleague had shingles several years ago but does understand now how debilitating it is ☹️ Well done for keeping up with the daily decluttering in spite of feeling unwell 👏 Really sorry to hear that you have succumbed to Covid ☹️ Do please rest as much as possible 🙏 Excellent work sorting the freezer & spending time at your allotment 👏
Great work ZolaBuddy 👏 pleased to hear that we have encouraged you to tackle the make-up frog 😉
I will be back later as iPad charge has run out 😱
