Getting on with those boxes of stuff. Just two left from the twenty or so I started with. I have filled two shoebox size ones with things I think I will keep/scan in and they have a place on study shelf for the moment so not cluttering floor space. DS2, who loves to cook, is working his way through everything in my fridge and freezer. I went swimming at 7.30 last night as he was going to gym. SIL has covid but is doing ok.
688-689 Two books to CS bag
690 A handbag to CS - I bought a new small backpack for my walking group so something equivalent had to leave - one in one out
691 A box of like for like emptied and either contents kept or recycled (95% went)
692 Scanning job done for dil
693 Study shelves tidied and moved round to accommodate some small boxes
694 Wedding card written - I had to buy another one as the card I had bought wasn't suitable
695 Papers from 3 meetings attended this week recycled
It's been a very busy week as I have another meeting this afternoon. Only one evening zoom meeting next week.2025 Decluttering Campaign 604/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Yesterday I prepped, with DH's help, my metal patio table ready for painting, the chairs still need prepping though and it's too cold to do it outside today. I already have the paint and the brushes at the ready.
Today I sorted out the bottom of a wardrobe as I was met with an avalanche of stuff yesterday 😱 All sorted now and my heavy winter oodie put away till next time. It keeps me lovely and warm when I'm sat on the sofa watching TV etc. and also saves me having to put the heating on. I also put away our xmas tops and my xmas dress till Dec as I refuse to replace them when they are perfectly serviceable and only used for 2 days max each year. I found a pair of my shorts hidden in there too, but I'll wash them before I put them away ready for the summer.
In the cs bag has gone a black handbag, a pair of flat shoes ( hardly worn as they pinch ) a new nightdress and some PJ's ( I don't like the material, so I don't really know why I bought them ) Dh has finished the new set of stables and tack room for DGD and tidied up the spare room/craft room, now he only has to put his tools away in their correct places, then I can get in there and give the room a spring clean.
MrsSD thanks for the healing vibes for DH and my hugs, everything is greatly appreciated. Sadly these days DH has good days and bad 😟
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.

Had a pretty major tidy up today and reorganised the kids toys. I asked DS if he wanted to get rid of anything he didn't use anymore and he managed to find a small bundle of things.. I'm teaching him young (he's 5)! I'm very impressed, although many of the things just go to DD so don't actually leave the house. As I tidied I found more things to put into the charity box and most of these are now in progress of being put on the local buy nothing group. I managed to declutter 16 things in all:29-31 - deleted apps I never use on my phone32 - brand new stamper (kids party gift) DS doesn't want33-36 - baby toys37 - 41 - paperwork42-43 - baby clothes DD has grown out of44 - a hair accessory I've never used and can't kid myself I might do anymore as I've had it about 10 years!2025 decluttering: 2,397🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅

Hi everyone
@EnergyShifter, hope you're feeling better today. I know exactly what you mean about having workmen in the house, I'm just the same. Luckily DH deals with most of them but,on the odd occasion.when I've been on my own with them, it makes me feel very uncomfortable.
I've been busy with the PC today, still sorting emails (where do they all come from??) and documents. I've managed to sort two frogs today as well, so very happy about that.632. Filing done
633. 200 emails deleted
634. Unsubscribed from emails
635. Frog eaten
636. Junk mail recycled
637. 200 emails deleted
638. Files on PC sorted and documents deleted
639. Receipts shredded
640. Another frog eaten
641. Emails answered and filed
@QueenJess well done for teaching DS about getting rid of things, that's a lifetime habit you're encouraging.

@marrob as it’s either me it DSis dealing with any tradesmen the ‘creepiness’ factor is included in discussions over who gets the job. Fortunately I have a lovely sparky and plumber/gas engineer (actually it’s a company now but I usually get the directors turning out for me). I’m cultivating the carpenter & plasterer. It’s still sad that those conversations need to be had though when getting quotes.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Marob - thanks for your comment - it really does help to know I'm not alone - seems it's an issue for a lot of us....
739. painted a former bedside cabinet to use in the living room for extra drawer space (I work from that room too) - looks pretty good - not too "bedside-like" now its teal rather than white!

Spent the last 2 days basically being a couch potato. Been suffering lots of hand cramps whenever I try to hold a book or type. Upped the VitD,drinking more water and generally resting my hands as much as possible,Tidied up the fridge crisper section, and threw away 2 books and thats basically it,though I did sort some books for CS donation,or for the free book section in the mini mall we have. Here's hoping next week I will have seveal bags ready

Magnesium helps with cramps too, but do citrate not oxide.. the latter has some explosive effects...

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday was a lovely sunny day. The only decluttering was dental appointments for DH & me + lots of money at the pub 😉 Bought ready made lasagnes & garlic bread from M*S. Wudupa.
Friday started overcast with the sun eventually putting in an appearance about 2:00 p.m. Started to do some paperwork but kept nodding off 😔 DH still suffering with painful tingling but the rash is almost gone 👏 Dinner was items from freezer - chilli con carne for DH & me (with boiled rice) & risotto cakes for DSis with lo chicken pieces from fridge. Wudupa.
675 - 683 Kitchen recycling x 2, coffee tin, 3 newspapers, drinks cans x 2, cardboard packaging - recycled
684 - 685 Kitchen detritus x 2 - binned
Welcome aboard The EDT QueenJess 👋 No such thing as joining in late 😉 Firstly well done for your your 7 years of decluttering & reaching the ‘maintenance decluttering stage’ of your journey 👏 Congratulations 🥳 Now you just have to train your children 😉 Only joking 🙃 I have made a note of your target but it sounds like you might have set it too high having already done so much 😉 keep up the excellent work 👏
TC77, hope the roofer & decorator aren’t too intrusive 😉 26 remote controls 😱 maybe your dad never changed the batteries 😉
short_bird, sounds like a well organised & safety conscious trip. How reassuring 🙂
Brilliant work mothernerd 👏 I love the way you successfully solve decluttering challenges - you are an inspiration to us all 👏🙂 Both you and helper elf have been extremely busy in the garden - no wonder you are exhausted 😩 Shame about accident with the pasta sauce but a very sensible decision not to try to keep the jute bag - glass cuts are extremely painful 😖
Great work dustydigger 👏 Very impressed with the repurposing of items you already had - less clutter, tidy & money saved - a triple win 🥳 You are definitely getting into the decluttering frame of mind 👏🙂
What an excellent start QueenJess 👏 Perhaps an overall To Do list and a smaller list for each day. When you complete the daily list, bin it but cross off the tasks completed from the overall list 🙂
Sorry to hear that you have been feeling unwell EnergyShifter 🤒 Hopefully it is just a 24 hour thing 🤞 I think the making decisions at home being more difficult than at work is something to do with thinking that keeping other people happy is more important than making yourself happy - a rather odd phenomenon but one I identify with 😔
Great work TC77 👏 Good luck with choosing your paint colour 🍀
Lovely to see you Liverpool_Anne 👋 Sorry to hear about the stinker of a cold (but pleased that you have -ve lfts) As to your GUAG - I think it is on holiday with mine 😂 They are both sunning themselves in Barbados, drinking rum punch & eating healthy food 🤣 plus swimming with sea turtles - lucky so and sos 😉 Hopefully they will get bored & come back soon 🤞 Yippee to spending time with family & friends - it helps to charge the Life Batteries 🙂
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Well done on almost completing the ‘Great Box Sort Out’ 👏
Wow you have been busy nannywindow 👏 Your wardrobe contents avalanche has reminded me that I need to sort both DH’s & my wardrobes before we suffer the same fate 😉
Excellent work QueenJess 👏 You have definitely caught the decluttering bug 🙂 and I agree that 5 is not too young to get a start on decluttering 😉😉
Excellent work marrob especially dealing with frogs 👏
florianatwobob, sounds like you & your DSis have found a good way of selecting the best tradesmen 🙂
EnergyShifter, very pleased that your refurbished phone is now working - a great reason to edit your post 😉 Great upcycling & decluttering 👏
Nothing wrong with taking care of yourself dustydigger 🙂 Sending get well wishes 🙂
Thanks for the info -taff 👏
