Saturday has been another day of watching the Olympics & clearing down programmes from the TV planner 😉 Finished cooking the brisket which we had with mashed potatoes & mixed country vegetables (from the freezer) I now have 1.75 empty drawers 🙂 The brisket was delicious & I have a small amount left together with some vegetables & mash & gravy so will make a small pie.226 - 227 Kitchen recycling & detritus

I got up early this morning. I am a prolific paperwork/cards/kids crafts hoarder so I sorted the 2 kallax boxes full of loose paperwork. I must be throwing over 1000 sheets 🙈 I'm definately not counting them though so going to claim 100 for it. I have a stack ready for shredding that is at least 2 x 500 paper reams high. My friend is bringing me round her shredder this afternoon so I will get to that as soon as its here. I did find 2 x £25 refund cheques in amongst the paperwork though so it has paid off 🥰 Going to treat us to a day out during half term with it.
Total to date: 586 items! Wow 😊
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday 😊10 -
A quick dive into the shed today for a tidy up (stuff had just been bunged) and as a preliminary to decorating the loo over the next couple of days (oh the glamour). Found the bathroom paint, gloss and undercoat. I wasn’t sure if we had any undercoat so that was a happy surprise.Whilst in there had a quick speed sort out. Laundry basket swapped into the bathroom and found some bits that can go either to charity or on the freebie sites locally.Cruised the bottom of the fridge and there are now a load of veggies in the slow cooker for a chicken and veggie casserole. Now decluttering the end of my ‘to watch’ list.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Mrs SD, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. It’s sounds as though M was a lovely lady
It’s been a little while since I last posted as I’ve been feeling a bit rubbish and run down – had a load more blood tests done recently and am (from my reading of the results and lots of googling!) low in Vit D and Iron. I’ve a call with the Doc later this week to confirm. Makes sense why I’m struggling so much with fatigue, headaches and am now on my 4th lot of antibiotics this year! Ugh – I’m so done with feeling rubbish – it’s about 15 months since I had Covid and I haven’t been right since.
Anyway, onto more positive things, I’ve managed to sort a couple more frogs this week, and last weekend my Dad took a load more stuff to the charity shop and scrap store for me:
34-36 Boxes to charity shop
37-39 3 bags of crafty books, fabrics etc to the scrapstore
As this week is half term for most of my students I’ve only got about half my normal tution, so am planning on going through a couple of bookcases that have now been unearthed in my spare room. Hopefully I can send at least half the books to charity and then start sorting some of my craft things into the spaces that are left – sitting down decluttering is definitely the way forward for me at the moment!
I’ve also found a few items of clothing - some with labels still on them
- that I plan to try to sell – cue getting lots of other random stuff done as I procrastinate over this

Evening everyone
I've finally made some progress on the decluttering mountain that is my house - i got a new address book about 3 years ago and have finally transferred all details into it from my old book that was literally falling apart - i shredded old details and recycled all the unused pages - it was quite satisfying to see the ex's details go through the shredderI have downloaded a book-selling app and zapped all my unwanted books & DVDs and they will accept 10 of them . Have filled 1.5 bags for the CS. Shredded loads of paperwork including stuff from the job i left in January 2020 .....

Not a lot to report. DiL back to work yesterday. Went to large shopping mall 1 hour drive from here with DS2 and GC. I finally took my glass figures (Swar) to the shop to be sent off for repair - I have a collection of about 30 mostly small ones but three have needed repair for more than 10 years! Not broken but a loose ear or foot. They are sent back to Austria so will be about 8 weeks. A longstanding frog dealt with.
