409- 411 - 3 christmas presents finally given to family
412 - Wedding present, card & balloons delivered to the happy couple
I'm completely out of all my routines & have been for over a week now what with one thing or the other. DS is going away with his Dad tomorrow until the end of the week so that will give me a chance to have some thinking space and get back on track. I'm also going to take the opportunity to catch up with a couple of friends as I've seriously been neglecting that part of my life since DS got ill.
I did knit a beanie as planned on Saturday and another yesterday but made the mistake of using my judgement re: size - one is too small the other too large so some unpicking and knitting to be done today.... I like the experience of knitting so not too bothered about this...

Wowzers, this train moves so fast! Well done everyone.
I lost my mojo a little this past week, I’m back on it now having posted some eDay and given away some throws.
Also listed again on eDay this morning, you can sell the most random things! I’m going to pop a list in of the strangest things I’ve sold later in the year.- 4 throws to Son1
- 1 chair sold on eDay after the 3rd realist
- 3 Parcels posted
- 2 childrens magazines into recycling
I haven’t updated my sales total yet as I’m waiting to see what postage comes to.
xx

Hi - it’s been a while but January has been a washout for me. I’m still not over the sore throat/cold and subsequent complications. Finances have gone to pot but the house is tidy 😞10
-
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSunday started bright but very windy then got dark early & damp. Another lazy day only thing I did was sweep kitchen floor. Dinner was Chinese takeaway. My GUAG has got up & Gone to pastures new 😔 but I am hopeful that getting back into the habit of posting here twice a day & continuing to read my declutter book will tempt GUAG back into my life 🤞🙂😉 I did wudupa 😉

Bala if you can try and get bamboo needles ,they are so much better on the hands .
agree with chunky wool and bigger needles
Double knitting wool is generally better on 4 mm needles ( no 8 in old money !) ,but chunky wool will go on I think 5 mm but as Energy Shifter says it usually has a recommendation on the wool9 -
Bala Poundland or home bargains/B nM sell wool and needles cheap as chips. A lot of chazzers also sell knitting needles and wool. When I learnt to knit last century! I was started off on size 6 imperial needles and double knit wool. Just knit then undo it and repeat until you get your tension right. Enjoy. Practice is the secret.Vasco me too. That cold or whatever it was has taken me a month to recover too. I got over Covid quicker.I have done very little apart from clean upstairs and knit baby hats for charity. I did venture out with a view to gardening but it was too cold🥶
The outside loo door and a very old painted stool are back from the dipper. I need to sand them and wax the stool and repaint the door. Trouble is I like knitting better 🤦♀️Vx:10
