Another busyish few days here - although having to take it a little easy as I had a D+V bug(or something like it) a couple of days ago. It seems to be one thing after another at the moment - immune system seems to be wrecked since Covid.
Anyway, today I managed to sit and sort through a few more boxes. One was a large box full of notes, handouts etc from my undergraduate degree - I graduated in 1996.... can't put them in the recycling bin yet as it's already full this week!
I also found a box full of random leaflets etc from when I worked in a different city for a year in 2013. Why do I still have that?!
I've done a mountain of shredding and converted an old frying pan to a plant saucer by taking the handle off. Also managed to get some lovely plant pots I had for my birthday outside by buying some hellebores and a crazy spirally grass to go in them - feels good to be getting stuff out and putting it to use.
A couple of charity shop boxes filled and lots of stuff taken down to my 'waiting room' for (my Dad's) tip run later this week.
I'll update my total when things actually go out.2022 Decluttering Campaign 39/104 🏅⭐️

When I saw this challenge at the beginning of the month , I thought finding 2022 items to get rid of this year would be almost impossible! I’m now feeling excited and equally horrified that I’ve managed to get rid of not far off 700 in January 🙄😱😂
I’m really going for it at the moment, because once exams start again in March , I’ll be kept busy invigilating. So many areas of the house are looking so much better. Most of what’s gone was “hidden” in cupboards and drawers, but just knowing it’s not there is so freeing.
Thanks for all the inspiration everyone and for starting this @Mrs_Salad_Dodger! By the way , what’s the game you mention at the top of your posts? And have you weaned yourself off it ?Word for 2023 …PROACTIVE 🧡 2023 -decluttering campaign 1020/2023 ⭐️⭐️Saving towards paying off car in November…£720/£1500 🚗14 -
Not much to report as I have had small people most of the weekend. They remained squabble some but thankfully not all the time and we managed to get out in the sun to two of our favourite parks. I have a lot of school runs etc this week after two really free weeks.
235 Card posted
236 Chart printed with 28 spaces for February filled in with cleaning tasks and other stuff I need to do. Will try to cross at least one off a day.
237 Quiz questions for this week sorted and printed off
238 Short break in Yorkshire booked for half term week - with small people
Trying to complain to AM***N re yesterday's delivery but not easy - email address they give just bounces back saying they don't take complaints by email. Not sure why they advertise it on their site! Item allegedly delivered to safe place - greenhouse - easily seen and accessed. They told me it had been delivered there but it was actually left just to the side of front doorstep in full view of the road.2025 Decluttering Campaign 672/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Our youngest cat doesn't like turkey and refuses to have the same wet food 2 days in a row. Our eldest will eat anything and everything. We are having new flooring in our large lounge /diner / kitchen so not decluttering at present. However it does mean my office is full of stuff and is annoying me (which is good as when the floor is finished it will prompt a surge on clearing out).Just on tax returns, when self employed, I would every 6 months, pull together all my receipts for the period and enter in a spreadsheet. This meant that by mid April I could drop my paperwork off with my accountant and knew what I owed by the end of May (but never paid the amount until end of following January). Appreciate that isn't possible for all but periodic sorting of receipts into 1 place means you can avoid a last minute scrabble round to get your return done.May you find your sister soon Helli.
Sleep well.11
