Thank you all ππ
ππ starnac. Your races are very impressive indeed!!Β
Dentist achieved, and we visited our friend who is still in hospital as well, so that was nice (well, nice to see him, not nice that he's still there!)
Heading back now, and I think we're going to go out for tea tonight. We cooked the first night, takeaway the second night, leftovers the third night, so it would be nice to have tea out once while we're away!Β
Car booked into the garage on Tuesday - it's making a slightly odd noise sometimes π Not the car that had an MOT last week, the other one. Very tedious, but I'd rather check while it's still working rather than waiting til it conks out. Assuming it gets us back to holiday, then home, then back to the garage... π8 -
Morning chums π ended up having a lazy one in the flat last night, ate Monday's leftovers for tea so super MSE π
This morning went to Bempton Cliffs and I saw my first ever puffin π₯°π₯° well, my first ever FIVE puffins! π
Now standing in a bus station waiting for Mr Cheery's dad to join us for the day. At least I should get to rest my ankle a bit as he won't be walking far!9 -
Hope your ankle is okay Cheery??Β
Puffins? How cute! Hope you got some lovely photos.Β

Ankle is just a bit sore from too much walking π between finishing IronMay and pottering about, I did 26 miles in the first 2 days of our holiday, and I've done roughly another 10,000 steps each of the following two days (which is about 4-5 miles for me). Mostly I need to just sit down I think!!
I got some pictures of puffins, but they're rubbish ππ you can just about tell they're puffins, but I won't be winning any awards for my photography skills π7 -
This is my best puffin picture πππ As I say, not going to be winning Wildlife Photographer of the Year ππ
There were some mightily impressive cameras out there though! And the cliffs themselves were impressive too. I've only ever seen one gannet at a time before, and there were literally thousands.

Agreed, the cliffs themselves are spectacular!Β And you saw the puffin with your own eyes, that's a great memory.2023: the year I get to buy a car6

Thanks ladies, and yes, good memories indeed! ππ
Today has been a bit of a farce, although with some nice spots too. Went into the city, because I had an hour-long dentist appointment. Bumped into an old colleague last week and arranged to meet him first thing as I'd be in town anyway for the dentist. And arranged to see another friend after work.Β
Emailed friend at 7.30 telling to text me if there was an issue (didn't realise i still had his number else i would have texted him myself).
On my way in, dentist texted to cancel π‘This particular appointment (to replace a temporary dressing in my crown) has now been cancelled by them FOUR TIMES. My dentist only does one day a week MHS now so it'll likely be another 6 weeks before I can rearrange - I confess I was too cross to ring them today.
Figured I wouldn't be able to park in the town centre to meet friend, so ditched the car at work and got the bus into town. Only to find friend had forgotten our meeting, and was now in another meeting.
Other friend texted to say her husband had been ill, and I might not want to be in their house π we did at least arrange to meet in a cafe - but then ended up in her house anyway.
Couple all that with the whole 'forgetting what your job involves after a week off' and it's not been the most successful day!Β
Still. I did sit and have a nice cup of tea while I was in town, and sorted through emails from last week. And I had a lovely time with my friend and her daughter this evening π
Wasted a load of time messing about on the Internet tonight though but I'm going to get lunch/clothes ready for work now as it's another early one tomorrow - big car is going to the garage to get a slight noise checked out. Might just be being paranoid- it's done several hundred miles since we noticed it just fine - but better safe than sorry π Hope they don't find endless other things wrong with it!Β6 -
Oh, and I keep meaning to update on the Happy Wheel.
May's total was Β£110 - not too bad, although a bit annoying as at once point I'd been up to Β£196. Still, positive numbers are better than negative!Β
June's total is currently minus Β£10 π7
