Nearly packed - feel like we've forgotten how to do holidays, it's been so long 😂 I think we've packed half the house and we're only going for a few days 😂9 -

Cheery, how lovely! And as for the price, I know it doesn't *seem* like a bargain, but for what you've got, self catering with a sea view, it really is. Hope you're having a lovely time, after all the trials and tribulations you've had, that's a great thing.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Thanks all 😊
We're having a lovely time 😊 I got out for 7 miles along the seafront this morning - only 8 miles left of official IronMay 'running'.
I'm having to make a change of plans though I think. Having left most of the running to the end, a lot of it is walking 🙄 Dont want to do myself a mischief, especially not having just cycled 76 miles in a week.
So I walked (with a sprinkling of jogging) 7 miles this morning, which got me up to about 16,000 steps. Since then, just by wandering to town, along the seafront etc, I've amassed ANOTHER 13,000 steps, and when we go out for tea tonight we'll walk back into town again, so that'll be another 2 miles.
I think I'm going to have to start counting some of that as part of my miles. I really didn't want to - wanted to only count running-clothes-on, going out specifically for exercise. But I did 7 miles this morning, need to do another 8 - and on top of that I've done somewhere around 6-7 miles of just walking around today as well.
I'm exhausted. And I'm meant to be on holiday!
So I switched the GPS thing on as we walked back to the flat, and I'll switch it on when we go out for tea tonight - between those things that'll clock me about 3 miles I think, then there's only 5 left - and I might try to do that as an actual 'run/walk' in the morning.
I dunno, very much torn between feeling like I'm cheating, and feeling like I'm going to do myself a mischief if I try to do all this on top of holiday walking - and I don't want to insist we stay in the flat all day so I can recover!
We'll see. Maybe I'll wake up tomorrow either an uncontrollable urge to run 8 miles, who knows...7 -
If you're travelling from A to B under your own power, does it actually matter what clothes you're wearing while you're doing it? 7 miles of walking is a fair old whack of exercise!

Ha, when you put it like that, no 😂😂 I think it was more that I wanted to do a bit of running in with it (even though not much), but, er, I am rather amply-endowed and won't be running anywhere without a sports bra (and won't be wearing that for everyday use because it's like scaffolding 😂).
But of course I'm not actually doing that much running anyway, so no, it doesn't matter. I think at this point the most important thing is not injuring myself and having to drop out of the race I'm doing in June! 😮10
