I have been very quiet for a while as waiting to try to sort the finances and see what happened with the mortgage. It has been so slow and I have been getting more and more obsessed but also more and more pessimistic.
However, I have found out to day I have had the mortgage I wanted accepted. I can’t wait to have my own mortgage and the ex off the house and the mortgage.
The rest of my finances are starting to fall into place. I feel like I have had the odd tiny splurge but I get paid on Monday. I have the hairdressers on Saturday and the cash is in my purse ready. I think I should end up with an end of the month balance of zero, which is fabulous when I usually end up at my £250 overdraft. My credit card should be able to disappear towards the start of next month and then I can actually start saving.I can’t quite believe how much more positive my life has become in the last month

I am so happy for you though. I read so many diaries it's sometimes hard to remember the details. The finance consent order if you can agree it between you - and I know that's a big if - doesn't have to take that long. It's a huge boost once it goes through though - and now you have a mortgage offer that will really help simplify things. I was really nervous about whether I'd get a mortgage offer in time. I submitted my finance consent order earlier in the process than you.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
