Back in the day when I divorced my ex I bought the martial home which I managed to get a mortgage for (and he insisted he had his half even though I looked after our two children as well) and paid it all off eventually, even though I was on very low wages, but when it got paid off it was such a good feeling, I went without quite often to pay that Bill and feed the kids but it was so worth it!!
