I found wikivorce helpful reading. There are also free divorce books on KU that are worth a read...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you all so much. I love how much support and advice I get, I should be in such a lonely position but you guys make it feel like I have a team of cheerleaders behind me.
another cheeky 90p PAD this morning. Every little counts but I am hoping the credit card will be at zero next month, which will be a very strange feeling. Then onto the mortgage deposit savings I think as my mortgage advisor thinks I will pass affordability even with the two loans.
This weekend needs to be super productive as I have my final uni assignment due in at 5.30pm on Monday but I also have y11 parents evening and a full on day so that needs to be submitted by Sunday evening.
We also have a valuer coming out for the mortgage application on Wednesday morning. My mortgage advisor has used a ‘rather aspirational’ value on the house so very, very nervous and need the house to look wonderful for that. I am hoping the kids will not just help me clean and tidy but not mess up everything I do.
The next week is going to be crazy and I feel like my whole life is up in the air. I need to just keep swimming!

I've found the cheer squad on here amazing too. You are making really good progress. Good luck with the survey. You are luckier than I - as mine was done by computer with no visit which didn't work out well for me. It was particularly irritating as I'd been giving the house and garden some love and spending money on it I otherwise wouldn't have done. Still got a mortgage though just not at the % rate I hoped.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The support here is amazing and I have been very thankful for the words of encouragement and wisdom over the years! Looking at your signature and that credit card reduction is amazing.
Hope the mortgage valuation goes well and glad to read that your solicitor is responding. I’ll be having to take similar steps soon mortgage wise so cheering you on!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

I am shattered. The uni assignment has been submitted but I am not confident of the quality
I have rearranged the youngest’s bedroom and got rid of his desk so it doesn’t feel too much like a box room ahead of the valuation on Wednesday. I need to step away from rightmove as I am obsessing about the low sale prices of similar houses but they are all 2020 or before. The current selling and sold prices for similarish houses are much more promising so it just depends which they choose to look at.
I just want to get the house as clean and tidy as I can before Wednesday morning so I can go with it is what it is and not feel that I could have done anything to improve the valuation price.
Why does January have to be so long? Too many days, not enough pay

A good start to Monday. I have updated my budget planner and spreadsheets before school.
my EE and Halifax credit card direct debits came out this morning. EE had refunded a little to my account so that was lower than budgeted and the credit card payment was lower than budget due to overpayments. I saved £44.31 which has been paid off my credit card. That means the credit card should definitely be zero in February and then I can move to whatever step 2 is going to be depending on the outcome of the valuation and mortgage application.

Well done on getting the assignment in. Sometimes 'good enough' is, well, good enough.
I hope the valuation works out for you.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
