It appears that all of the shops on my chazza 'map' are having a very slow turnover of stock lately. It's getting a little disheartening seeing the same old, same old items week after week. Is it 'cos lots of stuff, (well, clothing( is being sent to Ukraine I wonder?). Anyhoo, managed one bargain this week-end - a pair of b/n curtains, 90" X 90", fully lined, in cream heavy cotton with stylised peach flowers, priced at the ridiculously low price of £5.45 in the CRUK shop in Northallerton. Bought them right at the last minute before closing time and then had to run across the road to Boyes to purchase a new curtain rail!! Now looking resplendent in my friend's hallway as door curtains6

Today I found:
Highish waisted Levi skinny jeans in a darkish blue and VGC £10 in my size. I was going to say they fit like a glove, but I don’t have 5 legs 😂.
A deep cereal bowl, blue with white stripes 50p it looks like Cornishware from a distance but isn’t.7 -

, a pack of three Ikea garment storage bags for 75p, A timely find tho as I am about to pack away a few wool coats and jackets for winter, (cue more snow!!), and I thought it might be a good idea to store them in garment bags to keep them varmint moths at bay!

Market shopping day today which means going down Poole high street. OH spotted the BHF shop had a display rack of LPs in the window (scream of horror at them overheating in direct sunlight!!) so went in.
He normally complains in the shops as the LPs tend to be put on a bottom shelf below the cds and dvds. The only way he can look at them is to sit on the floor which is not good for a man of a certain age and size wearing a nice suit. So despite the direct sunlight which will surely damage some before they are sold it made it easy for him to browse. Net result 3 perfectly clean Emmy Lou Harris LPs for a grand total of £13. One he wasn't familiar with and didn't look at what was on it just checked the record to see if he was willing to put it on the turntable. Turns out it's the sort that ELH has a lot of different friends joining in - so far our favourite is her with Dolly Parton and Linda Rondstadt singing Mr Sandman (bring us a dream). Perfect voices together.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Hospice shop in Bewdley had 8 immaculate 1960s glass lampshades. Much photographing and messaging and I bought 4 for my sister (who lives in a modern 1960s house)
Here is a photo I sent her with my finger for scale! Each £5.
