I went to Shared Space in Westcliff still looking for a big tea cup. I found one called a "souper mug" and it is huge. My husband said that looks big enough to put a pint of tea in it!
I also got a blue lampshade as I damaged one of mine, a navy sparkly River Island jumper, a blue Primark cardigan, a green scarf and a teddy for my dog to play with. That was all £14.
I went past the new charity shop on London Road but it isn't open yet. There is a sign on the door saying they can't open because of rental problems, I think the sign said.
Never get to visit the Blue Cross shop in Northallerton cos I’m normally there on a Sunday and they are closed then….boooo!
Anyone want an Hermes Birkin handbag? Saw one in my local Mind shop yesterday. Priced at £40 and obv ‘genuine’ 😁. Actually quite a reasonable copy and at least they were not claiming it was genuine!
@goldfinches Probably will be wearing thick black tights and either black leather riding stylee boots or me ‘bovver boots’ I think and a grey pashmina with the 99p dress. Oooh I hate thinking about winter clothing already!

Handy as a not-quite-full-on-black funeral dress too.

It depends which colour it is but I could be persuaded to treat myself, I always liked the fasteners on those. I meant to ask what happened about the other bag that you were sure was a copy and have you spotted anyone carrying it?
I've had a very energetic afternoon which started poorly and then ended in a blaze of triumph. First I walked to the Barnardo's which had shut about two minutes before I got to the door at 3:40pm, they were ushering the last customers out as I stood looking through the window rather forlornly. I then went across the road to the Oxfam shop and didn't find anything I wanted to buy. By this time I was rather fed up and spent ages inwardly debating whether to detour in order to call at the Age UK shop on the way home or not and eventually decided to do so. I got there and found a Nordicware dinosaur muffins tin on the shelf for £3.49 when they cost around £50 new so I snapped it up. I also bought a 22cm perforated tin, £2.49, as one of the other students at my cookery evening class told me that their pizza is much crisper cooked on this sort of base. This one is a very solid quality, although no brand name markings, so worth buying to try with a quiche or tart. Here are my bargains.
Scallops. A host of legends surround this, one of the loveliest of seafoods, except when overcooked. My favourite true story concerns the young lady scallop preparation worker, interviewed by the 'New Yorker' Magazine. When asked for her honest opinion of the shellfish she said "They don't have much personality". From Patrick Anthony's International MENU Dictionary.
@goldfinches that looks like the pie tin my brother uses and got from Lakeland. It’s a very good tin but mind the tip of your knife if you’re cutting the pie in situ. The tip tends to catch the holes if you’re not careful.

Not teetotal but also not near North Allerton.....I think. .....off to look at a map to actually see where that is......
When you get to York, keep going north. If you get to Scotland, you've gone too far.
Alternatively, go to Kendal and head due east. Or get the Edinburgh to London train and get off halfway down...
When I moved here, I'd never visited before and had hardly heard of it. That was nearly thirty years ago. I've heard it called 'the graveyard of careers' because people move here, like the pace of life and settle down.
Some lovely bargains today, people. I have no idea whether I'd ever use a dinosaur tray should one come my way, but it radiates quality. I should think things like that become heirlooms.
Fashion on the Ration challenge: 20.5 coupons used in 2020. 62.5 used in 2021. 94.5 remaining as of 21/3/22

Thief, that had my name all over it! St Vincent's is a disappointment, it was supposed to be open the Monday before last. Am stuck at home today so no chazzer-sampling for me.
@goldfinches that's a great dinosaur pan. I'd be interested in seeing the results. I have dinosaurs in silicone bakeware and the detail is lost when the cakes are turned out.

So much to read, so little time.
