Well the lovely fresh pesto pasta with broccoli wasn’t as lovely as it usually is as we didn’t have as much pesto as needed and so it was a bit bland! OH could have added extra cheese but didn’t so I complained 🤣
I made a lovely lentil and spinach soup from JO ministry of food book using a handful of green and yellow split peas. It’s made up for the rubbish pasta dish courtesy of OH used up a bag of spinach that wouldn’t have been used otherwise. My local olio FWH is collecting more and more slots now so today I collected sour cream, mushrooms, chicken tikka sandwich filler and limes. The volunteer never states quantities however so if anyone can help me use your 2kg of sour cream 😂 and 24 limes please that would be great 😇Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

A couple of spends to report over the last few days:
£37.55 at Sains - a large part of this on toddler snacks. DM keeps giving her loads of chocolate, which we're not happy about, so I bought all the things I'm happy for her to eat and then gave DM 2 from each pack for her to use when she has her.
£3.00 at Coop on bread - literally just bread, did not buy a single additional item!!! Though did realise afterwards I needed milk so will be back there later today.
Also, Asda delivery due today - showing as £60.77 which includes £13 for DH's rum (which he pays for himself), so total of £47.77 for this week's whop, although I do need to pick up some fruit which I forgot to order.
Current total: £164/£481August Grocery Challenge £224.31/£400.009 -

First grocery spend of the new year - £102.44 on weekly grocery delivery - this includes pantry items we have run out of (sugar & rolled oats), vitamins, non-food household items (soap, toothpaste & ibuprofen) and all of our normal food for the weekly shop. (OH's wine & the monthly delivery fee come out of separate funds.) Over the past couple of years we've fallen out of the habit of top-up shops & in-store shopping in general so fingers crossed, next spend should be in a week's time.
Spent £102.44
Budget left for month £397.56/£5004 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!9 -
Hopefully another NSD today for me…rain and housework is keeping me indoors.
We’ve eaten from the freezer this week as well.
Defrosted steaks on Monday and ds decided he really doesn’t like steak but wanted a burger 🤦♀️🤷♀️So 1 steak left which I happily ate on Tuesday 😋.
Dh and ds had sausage ( freezer) and mash and Dd went to her nans as she does on Tuesdays.
Wednesday was freezer bolognese made into a pasta bake or cheats lasagne 😁.
Tonight’s offerings are homemade balti for dh and Dd ( freezer ) korma for ds and his gf ( freezer again) and pasta and salad leftovers for me.
Need go sit down later with my shopping list and menu planner so I can go shopping tomorrow… hopefully a fairly moderate shop after the bigger ‘after Christmas shop’ done a few days ago. Aiming to get back into my grooved with a Friday weekly shop from next week then.
really enjoying this thread as it definitely focus your mind on your spending… makes me more mindful of what I’ve got what I really use and what I really need.
have a lovely day everyone 👋Grocery spends £193.44/ £70 per week or £303 per month9
