Just received mine, it’s even worse nothing on the from at all - looks and feels like a really bad hotel key!
I think the card looks letter like that :-)

I agree, for some reason now they've gone vertical, I don't mind the design as much!

I agree it's an improvement. The problem with the design (then and now) is its fussiness - at least with all the details removed there's a bit less going on.

Still a bit too 'playful' for a major bank for my taste; much prefer the RBS designs.

It's better than their landscape design, but in general, I'm not a fan of portrait designs. Most of the time they feel really empty. This can doesn't feel empty but still looks a mess. Their old design (when they used Visa) was much better, although obviously, it doesn't really matter.

They have changed the RBS card too which again my opinion looks better!

  • I definitely like that RBS card. It's a nice picture and works well with the card.

  • I am not sure what I think to be honest, although I did prefer the older version, one thing is for sure the Apps the scan the front of your card for the numbers don’t work anymore.

A free bit of advice for all UK banks. Why not superimposed images of British WW2 personalities of our voting discretion like Guy Gibson, Douglas Bader, Eric Lock,  and the like.

I think it would resonate with people over 50 years of age and who likely  have the most money to spend.

This is not a post to troll The BBC lovers or the Guardian readership, I honestly believe it would be a great idea for the Banks to retain loyal membership.

Could have other themes Like literature, science, or inventors. Royal mail does it so why not the banks. Come on people give this a thumbs up.

I'm almost 60, none of that 'resonates' with me. Knock yourself out by suggesting it to your bank(s) but don't expect us all to support it.

I just tried Google pay, which scans the card but does allow manual number entry, on my new style Halifax card which has the number on the back and that scanned fine. Obviously didn't work on my Chase card when I added that, as that had no numbers on at all.
