I just got mine. I think this looks even worse! I’d have love to have known their thought process when signing this off? Stevie Wonder could see this was a bad design.
It looks a lot better than the bog standard one.

Much prefer the standard one than that. The grey looks so depressing and also doesn't work with the colourful Mastercard and NatWest logos. What was NatWest thinking?!

Geez, and I thought Tesco's Premium Card was a distinctly un-premium looking thing.

Would like the new one for premier too. Website looks nicer?

Have these vertical card designs actually materialised in to anything physical yet?

I wonder if NatWest are reconsidering ahead of pushing the button on a reissue for all customers with Visa Debits (rumoured to be June).

How come everyone is moving the Mastercard these days? I remember back when Mastercard Debit were Maestro and hardly anyone issued them.

It’s because MasterCard is paying a lot of money to financial institutions to get them to change from Visa.

I also think it’s because MasterCards exchange rates can be slightly better than Visa most of the time.

It's the former. The latter makes very little difference to an issuer, certainly not enough to factor in a decision to change payment network which is likely a huge project.

No doubt the pendulum will eventually swing the other way and Visa will be doing the handouts.

It’s also because Visa Europe was owned by the high street banks until a few years ago, so it was in their interests to issue Visa cards. Once Visa Inc bought Visa Europe from them, they could switch to MC, once any contracts ended.

They should have gone with their navy blue with the red logo in the middle.
    Classy instead of "for kids".
