Of all the beauty in Scotland and they pick a shed. I really want to see designs for the other RBS brands, Child and Co etc.

If you want a Child and Co debit card, I'd open an account ASAP as the branch is closing on Wednesday (29th June)

Problem with these new designs is RECOGNISING them in your standard wallet's bank card slots.  You can ONLY see the top 2cm of the card that is poking out and its stored in LANDSCAPE format.  So all these silly new designs make it harder to pick the card you want to use.

Even if you put the card in back to front you just see the mag strip

I do favour the loss of the embossed numbers for laser printed ones as they don't wear off - the old embossed ones quickly lost the silver paint on the numbers.

Which card's long edge looks similar to your Natwest/RBS card? You can always put a small piece of coloured electrical tape or a sticker over the edge (try to keep the mag stripe clear even though you'll likely never use it) if you're really struggling to tell them apart.

My new NatWest card is purple, yellow and pink along the edge which does appear to be easy to recognise.
  • I'm in the minority when I say that I actually like this design. More than my Starling card to be honest. I don't like that they've enlarged the text.
  • It's awful. I do hope they haven't paid a design house a pile of money to come up with this. My 10 year old could have made a better job of it.

Oh good. Well done Ivan the Gorilla. That means they didn't waste a lot of money that could have been paid out in interest to savers !
