Hello all,
Its #51 here, I've been a bit 'head in the sand' and enjoying the summer. SF - glad to hear your on the mend. @geoffers4 exciting news on deciding on your retirement date. My OH is a bit older than me and he took semi retirement last year and he's loving it. He still works 2 days a week and this is still working for him & us!
I feel like I am the Queen bee that's just about keeping her hive above water. This month (August) I have enjoyed some stock market gains & seeing the various pots growing instead of shrinking. So pleased to report £1909.20 and finally am free from paying off an outstanding credit card bill but still feeling wobbly financially.2025 financial goals & challenges!
1). Mortgage (started Jan 2024) £107,542.12 / £122,400.00 Overpayment total: £904.60 (Inc Sprive yr 1 o/p £19.16 & £55.34 reg monthly overpayment) Equity 27%
2). #7 Save 1p a day challenge 2025 £150/£780
3). £2109.85/£3000 in Investment ISA (34/50 investments)
4). Increase cash savings & saving pots
5). Keep debt to a minimum.

#22 reporting £1612.45 for August. I've managed to tuck extra little bits away by shaving my grocery budget, although how much longer I can maintain that with spiralling prices, I've no idea

#16 reporting £45250 for the month of August.Astronomically inflated amount due to proceeds of our house sale being banked. There is another similar amount not being declared as it is our budget for the renovations.5

Sorry I am sooo far behind on reporting - total is now £14,390 up from £10,750 but I cant remember from when. Will go and check and report it all in August but leave the others blank.
Moving house, changing jobs, all sorts of other things going on. *Should* still hit the target I think...and will have paid off my final postgraduate student loan in the next few weeks which is great.5 -
Hello everyone - it’s been an expensive summer, but I’ve managed to rebudget a bit to get savings back to a level that might meet the target by the end of the year.
I’ll be finishing up at my current workplace at the end of September. Starting a new job with a bit of a pay boost so things should hopefully pick up for the final few months. Fingers crossed it won’t be swallowed up by massive energy bills!
August - £1150
