No it isn't.maycowan said:All info about my case is on here.
You have not told us where this alleged parking incident took place.
You have not mentioned what the driver has been accused of doing wrong - not paying, repeat visit, overstaying, parking outside bay, etc.
You have made no effort to justify whatever it is that the driver is being accused of.1 -
I'm really sorry. I started this post in 2021 and I thought all info was there. The ticket is from April 1917 for apparently parking on a private road. I don't remember getting the ticket as I wasn't driving much then. It could have been my daughters or probably my husband. My husband sadly passed in April 2020.
Letters must have been sent but they were ignored for various reasons and then last year I got a county court claim and the cost was now over £300. Maybe I should have paid but when I started this thread here in 2021 everyone said to not pay. Now I wish I had as its making me ill.
There are 5 pages on here about it.0 -
Hold on @maycowan and breathe. Nothing is lost yet. There really are lots of people here willing and able to help. So, without stressing you, we need to know when that witness statement is needed by, and if we can find out a little more about what the parking 'problem' was.
The hearing might be by 'phone, but just out of interest without giving anything that would identify you, do you know where your nearest County Court is?The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.3 -
Hi the County Court is Bromley and I have no date yet. I had the letter at the beginning of June and a dates to follow. My worry is that I have no real evidence as I honestly had forgotten all about it. I haven't driven for a few years as I'm not in the best of health and have problems with my eyes so I don't think I would have been driving. Thanks for being so comforting as its really getting to me now0

The parking was on a private road with no yellow lines. Its a road leading to my doctors surgery so someone was probably taking me to an appointment0

@maycowan - please do not be upset about this because the following OP was in a similar situation to you re making them ill, so enjoy reading the last few pages of the link to see the outcome:-

It is called Trinity Village in Bromley. You drive in there and go through gates to the doctors car park. My car was parked outside the gate as there couldn't have been any spaces inside. There's no yellow lines on the roadKeithP said:
Where exactly is this private road? Do you know the name of this private road?maycowan said:The parking was on a private road with no yellow lines. Its a road leading to my doctors surgery so someone was probably taking me to an appointment0 -
