My first thought is why cannot the Penalty Charge Notice be coloured red,for example. I can’t fathom out why this can’t be instigated. Seems a simple solution….but who am I to question why?4 -
If the genuine article was coloured red, what colour do youthink the bogus one would be?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.4

The terminals that the attendants use print out similar tickets, and people get confused with debt collectors and bailiffs etc etc all part of the PPC's little game of course they could be clearly made different but why would they do that?

There was no mention of the "this is not a parking charge notice" as used by Excel and VCS. This was a ruse to get the motorist to go online and appeal. I don't know if they are still issuing these or if they have stopped.

Excel and VCS are going to have to buck their ideas up when the new code comes into force.

The DVLA put a stop to the 'This isn't a parking charge notice' (well, not at the moment it isn't buddy, but check your post in a couple of days time!).
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I did wonder why the lady who helped the disabled couple did not champion the mutiple amputee veteran who was taken to court by VCS. I would have liked to see that case get a mention. I did also wonder which PPC's she was referring to when she said that some were very understanding.
This testimonial from Excel on the Peoples Parking website;
People's Parking offered Excel a review of our services in a way that ParkMark didn't - it was fresh, user friendly and more cost effective! In addition to showcasing the facilities we offer, it lets customers know whether a site is right for their particular needs and takes some of the guesswork out of choosing a car park.Alun Cockcroft- Excel Parking Services
And PP proudly boast among their members are Excel Parking Services Ltd and District Enforcement Ltd.
But even more bizarrely the PP website home page proudly displays the logo of Will Hurley's company, United Trade and Industry.4 -
I seem to recall the Parking Prankster did a Blog pointing out that People's Parking was owned by...John Davies.
I say no more on that subject except to observe that it's hardly a surprise if People's Parking thinks everyone plays nicely in PPC World. PP and the IPC even present as colleagues in social media mutually congratulatory tweets.
Taking nothing away from the good work that Helen Dolphin herself certainly does.
Just pointing out who owned People's Parking and that, as an entity, it is not at arm's length from the parking industry.
As such, they are not shown what we see and its representatives will be far from clued up about what really happens in PPC World, when ordinary disabled motorists complain, as @ellaro9 did for years about this farce:

Excel (or was it VCS, same stable) ploughed on, of course and the robust victim counterclaimed for harassment, plus data and Equality Act breaches and was awarded £1000 by the Judge.
Oh yes, I seem to recall @ellaro9 got zero useful help when he turned to People's Parking. Instead he got help from start to finish from this forum to secure him his £1000 compensation and costs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
