Based on a Google search his firm doesn’t seem too popular and even now says “Permanently Closed”.

Very impressed and huge congrats to them for all their hard work and knowledge!I have never received either type of PCN,however, what struck me is that the driver bears responsibility so if I ever receive one what is stopping me from making up a driver name and address i.e John Smith ( or foreign name) , 1, High Street, Paris/Barcelona or wherever??Anyway,Coupon Mad, Bargepole et al many thanks for all you assistance to so many folks on here and elsewhere..from a long time member of this forum
So is it worth lying and being found out ? Chris and Vicky Huhne wouldn't agree with your proposal !!
Is it worth it over a £100 PCN ? I think not !
If the claimant complied with POFA , then you could be liable as the responsible keeper anyway !
So to me , your proposal is foolish and could lead to a more serious charge , based on being presumed or proven to be deemed a liar ( fundamentally dishonest ). 🤔🤔🤔6 -
It was a little ‘tongue in cheek’ people! I agree with al your assertions and to be honest I have found the easiest way to avoid a PCN is to not park illegally in the first place although I am well aware of disreputable ppc’s. Always read signs and take photos if possible….just in case😀0

It's about alleged breach of contract ! Civil law , Civil matters , Civil courts
Signs , landowner authority , the relevant CoP , the CRA , POFA , Equality Act etc
Location and jurisdiction , plus bylaws , all can play a part7 -
Inforapennyinforapound said:It was a little ‘tongue in cheek’ people!A thread just today was working on the basis of, now, erroneous advice provided by a solicitor and Anne Robinson from eleven years ago, that PCNs were unenforceable.People will grab any seemingly viable straw floating overhead when they're under pressure and don't know what they're doing!
There was nothing to suggest that your suggestion was a little 'tongue in cheek'. To be honest, no wizz bang idea ever thought of hasn't already been considered by forum regulars. Other than a landowner cancellation, there is no easy silver bullet! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It's no surprise they will attempt to discredit him in whatever way they can. They regularly do it on news articles comments pages when a Judgment doesn't go their way and also on here. They don't want consumers to know the truth and rise up against their bullying and lies because it affects their profits! The programme said about 33% pay up straightaway- the number used to be much higher until people got educated, empowered themselves and rised up - which they hate!
Many PPC and their Collection/legal partners go out of their way to denigrate this forum saying its full of "bad advice" from "armchair lawyers on soapboxes" and following such advice will lead to a CCJ etc!!! Which is total crap and a desperate attempt to Gaslight people by playing on any doubt or gullibility they might have in a desperate attempt to get control of them and scare them onto parting with their hard earned cash!!!

I can't even begin to list all the attempts to discredit me over the years, and even more so, recently. Haha!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@95Rollers that being said we haven't had any comment from our on board PPC anonymous reps... (AnotherForumite and others)
I wonder if they feel that the truth hurts, or they're just getting as many invoices out before the breakSignature Space for Rent
Don't be confused by the low post count on this account, I've been around many years.....9 -

Always read signs and take photos if possible….just in case😀What you have to remember is that in the murky world of private parking/pakring on private land is that nothing illegal has happened.Terms like illegal , fine, penalty and so on are easily confused with the reality of the situation - a point highlighted in the programme - same again with "parking charge notice" and Penalty charge notice .that combined with the parking charge notices stuck to cars complete with the utter non sense "warning unauthorised persons must not interfere or remove this notice" should be stoppedAt the moment im not passing any car parks where this guff takes place, however i would be tempted to peel off any of these stickers and a bit of paper with link to this forum telling them not to pay a penny to the scummers , as an unauthorised person what "offence" would i be committing? The PPc industry - that is the mode of operation that takes up almost all the discussion on here is based entirly on smoke and mirrors, causing confusion , and making people panic and pay up before looking at the detail, and if they dont pay then use threats intimidation and bullying .The codes of conduct say they shouldn't use certain terms - they should also be stopped from looking making them look like real tickets - a blue envelope with "invitation to pay additional parking charges" as opposed to Parking Charge notice should be used for exampleFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Any problem with the rest of the show or what people like me and David and all the regulars here do? Got an opinion about private parking?
Always happy to discuss views and experiences but don't single people out.bargepole said:
Permanently closed??? It's not even temporarily closed. I'm still catching up with the flood of enquiries that came in since the programme was broadcast.*Steevo* said:Interesting to see they mentioned and interviewed David Carrod.

The usual slew of highly suspect court claims issued, and people asking for help with defences, representation, etc. I'll be looking forward to sending the parking company advocates away from court hearings with their tails between their legs.
My sincere apologies! I was doing a quick Google from my phone at the time after being very impressed with David during his interview on the programme.
In trying to find the name he traded under my earlier Google search led me to Private Parking Appeals Ltd, but a more thorough search just now from that showed that David is not part of that company any longer.
I shall edit my above post.3
