Yeh it was ok and made a complex subject simple enough for the average person on the street to understand so credit for that. I would have liked to have seen some rogue traders type stuff going on but they seemed to bottle it for some reason.

I think it told the saga well and as others say, shame it did not expose the rogues.

I noted that the DVLA still claim they make no profit ???
That is rubbish, If the DVLA want to make a profit then increase the £2.50 request fee to £10

With 19 million tickets issued x £10 ... the roads could be fixed, the NHS will have the funds they need, and help Rhishi to balance his books.
Whatever is left can go to the next NO 10's xmas party ?

Hopefully it will educate people of the scam. Its worrying how easy it is for someone to set up a parking company and get access to people's personal data and images!  Another reason why you MUST be even more vigilant when on private land NOT controlled by one of the bigger companies!  What background checks or safeguarding measures do the ATAs instil to vet and check for suitability...if any!?!  We know the DVLA do nothing as they leave "regulating" to ATAs who aren't regulating bodies!!!  What measures are there to stop a registered sex offender, convicted blackmailer, Stalker, fraudster or identity theif getting access to this valuable info!?!? Which the DVLA offer up for all at £2.50 per unit!?!  Apparently they don't make a profit - then why bother if that's not the case and FOI findings say otherwise?!

How can any organisation not make a profit on over £21 million turnover (8.5 million accesses x £2.50)?  If the DVLA is to be believed, one can only draw the conclusion that there is a very inefficient business model in operation!

I had to laugh what you said "Sex Offender and stalker"

We know the BPA fail in background checks ..... hence "Mr Upskirt" and he was the CEO ?
What background check did government do on the IPC ?  

So David was a car salesman. thought I knew him, he once sold me a car that came with 20 parking tickets ?  Joking apart, the problem most people have is the lack of knowledge.

Salesman are trained to answer in a positive way to get the sale and couple that with good legal knowledge, no wonder the parking firms and legals hate him.

Most of the "rent by the hour" bods who go to court on behalf of the legals could not bark back to a dog

..... and we know where the increased cost would end up - with the motorist - and of course it won't just be the additional £7.50 as they will need to add an admin fee to it!

..... and we know where the increased cost would end up - with the motorist - and of course it won't just be the additional £7.50 as they will need to add an admin fee to it!

You could be right ..... but will the new code of practice allow it ? or will it be another fake charge

My family are recording it but I didn't say anything ground-breaking.

You did very well as did DC.

I was disappointed however that there was no naming and shaming.

I agree DPD. Both of our reps did a super job. Every PPC logo was so obliterated by pixelation that I don't think I could confidently call out any PPC (or hanger on), from what I could see.
