Thanks for the outcome info, we do learn from the few that are lost, and it's only ever about whether a Judge thinks the signs are OK. That's subjective and therefore, hard for you to influence.
Good that he struck out the false and disproportionate add-ons, which we hope the Government will finally swat like a diseased fly this year, and which you can influence.
It will need consumer input (powerful voices) but change is afoot. It's taken about 5 years to get to this stage:

And then the industry threw victims' money at it and blocked and delayed it - explained here:

Please now Bookmark BOTH threads and set up email alerts on your posting profile, so that you get an email alert when we post there, as we will, once the final Public Consultation opens - anticipated by July...
We need people like you and your driving family & friends to respond in high numbers.
I am sure you want your voice heard to stop this happening again.

A good point the judge made was the discount offered is an attempt to avoid extra costs and so they had already added them on.That's a very interesting point. We should adapt that into future defences. What do the learned experts think?
1 -
Something along the lines of:The Defendant contends that the claimant has unjustifiably added extra costs to the claim in an attempt to cover supposed recovery costs. This assertion is contradicted by the original Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) issued, which clearly stated that the charge was £100, discounted to £60 for early payment. This original pricing structure implies that the £60 amount was intended to cover all their original costs, including any additional expenses or eventualities. It would need editing by someone with legal training to make it sound better.
By subsequently increasing the charge to £100, it is evident that the claimant has already factored in any potential extra costs or contingencies. Therefore, it is unreasonable and unjust for them to seek further compensation beyond the initial £100 charge. This sudden increase in the claim amount raises doubts about the claimant's intentions and suggests an unjustified attempt to overstate their recovery costs.

@B789, I think perhaps this sentence needs adjustment...This assertion is contradicted by the original Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) issued, which clearly stated that the charge was £100, discounted to £60 for early payment.
Penalty ==>> Parking.
Not that I'm claiming to to be ' someone with legal training' you understand.

So I have tried to get details to pay and DCB Legal aren't interested. The order clearly says I must pay them.
They want to palm me off to their "sister" company...0 -

They want to palm me off to their "sister" company...Ah yes, that has been reported before and as more than one person including @SoJacob have reported, DCB Ltd demanded £200 on top just a week or two after the date of the Judgment.
No-one knows why the money is added or how they continue to get away with such stuff if what I heard is the norm for them. Absolutely unacceptable? They'll get their. come-uppance I'm sure.
So, just go on DCBLegal's website and put in the reference from their communications and the claim number and pay the full amount. Job done. Take a screenshot then email and tell them you've paid and that you WILL NOT be fobbed off to DCB Ltd who have been reportedly known to allegedly add £200 to court orders.
OR...
IF YOU ARE WANTING TO HELP GATHER EVIDENCE TO STOP THIS, LIKE SOJACOB DID:
Please do this first:
Record your call on a separate phone (put the one you are using for the call on loudspeaker). Ring DCBLegal and ask how much to pay.Do not record your personal data please. Stop the recording as you give your name and phone number and other ID details then (and only then) re-start recording.Grumble a bit about being fobbed off to DCB Ltd but in fact, let them transfer you (again stop recording if you have to re-supply your data).
THEN start recording the call and ask how much to pay.
If it's more than the court ordered please be pushy to ask WHY.
Ask them what the extra money is for and tell them you are recording the call.
Really push for an explanation.
Refuse to pay that sum and tell them you are reporting them to the local court Judge. Phone down. End the call.
Then go pay the right amount on the DCBLegal portal and email them to tell them you've done that.
Then come and tell us what happened and if they did try to add money on top, we'll help you use that recording to complain to various authorities if they do or say anything objectionable.
@SoJacob did this and let's just say what happened to her is known by certain authorities.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
