GDPR (or equivalent) claim. Where they illegally retrieved my data from the DVLA. Some of their claims are laughably bad (claiming permit required in a retail park with free parking etc.).
I don't mind putting in a complaint to the DVLA first though. Do they ever reply with a statement if I am correct, that would obviously massively help my case.
I just want some proper jeopardy on their side. It shouldn't be them just buying a lottery ticket.1 -
Don't worry, they are facing jeopardy with a whole set of statutory rules next year.
But no, you won't get anything more than lifting of the carpet from the DVLA, who have been part of the problem since David Dunford moved to a different role. DVLA are far too close to the APAs and have bent over backwards, effectively enabling consumers to be shafted. Sad to say it, but it's how it has been perceived by us in recent years.PRIVATE 'PCN'? They are allowed to ask for the keeper's details simply to ask the keeper who was driving.
If a car park doesn't use a permit system and instead has 2 hours free parking, how can they pursue based on the lack of a permit.
Anyway, sounds like it is a bad idea, in which case I'll give them a get out clause of discontinuing.0 -

We get that.
But we've never seen UKPC issue NTKs for 'no permit' in a free car park with no permit rules. Unheard of. Are you sure?
Can you show us the place on Google Streetview and a scan of the PCN or NTK, redacting your name and address and VRM?
