Thanks @Blackcats. The matching pyjamas went way better than I expected. There isn't any photo evidence but he laughed and gave in gracefully.
We had a lovely peaceful day yesterday. I forgot to cook the pigs in blankets but that's not a problem as they will be cooked today and used to make toasties (with cheese) at lunch time. The cat helped with cooking the chicken as usual - letting me know when it was time to remove it from the oven and share it with the cat 🙄 For a small cat she has a very big voice.
I'm not sure if we're going to make it out through the front door today. Only one of us managed to get dressed yesterday (I get more done once I'm dressed) so if it's the same today it could be another indoors day. No big dinner to make though as this evening we will be testing the HT's new mini cheeseboard and his "three blind mice" cheese knives. I've bought one of those meat and cheese platter things too so we're not just eating cheese and cheese with a bit more cheese on the side 😁
Take care all of you 😊5 -
We are having a day at home relaxing, with board games, a jigsaw puzzle, and maybe a bit of TV. No cooking but plenty of tasty food.
Pleased HT was amused by the pyjamas.

Thanks @Sun_Addict. I've had the hoover out to clean up the mess that the cat made by fighting the evil tissue paper that my presents were wrapped in (the HT doesn't do wrapping paper and sellotape). Once I started I thought I may as well do the whole house so we're clean and tidy again.
The HT is online gaming and my participation is not required at this stage so I'm going to carry in with my crochet blanket I think.4 -
Good morning,
The washing machine is on and I'm on my second coffee. Despite saying I wouldn't be food shopping I caved mid week and bought some salad stuff because I wanted something healthier than what we were eating. Life is still fairly quiet here thankfully. I spent the afternoon with best friend yesterday - we did some rubbish clearing from stuff that he was hoarding storing as it was too wet to work in the garden. While I was out the HT revised for his exam which is next week.
The HT has friends visiting toiday so I've told him they can order (and pay for) their own food from the takeaway pizza place. I'll have salad from the fridge which they definitely won't want to share. I'm just having a coffee and then I'm going to get the tree boxes out and put all of the Christmas stuff away before the visitors come.
My "Ebeneezer account is up to £34.80 - I added some left over money from two end of month direct debits that I left money in my main account for when I did the end of month stuff last week.
Take care all of you 😊5 -
I woke up fancying baked beans on wholegrain toast, @CRANKY40, which I suspect is also my body telling me it fancies something a little healthier. Still on cheese & crackers for lunch, but will be adding extra grapes & some avocado slices for a bit of a fresh food boost. I am starting to feel the beginnings of a decluttering urge coming on too.
