You know that missing charger is going to turn up next week!Always a good idea to get them to teach you, so glad it helped him to "get" it.4

Good morning,
I had a busy housework cleaning day yesterday so I only found a few things to get rid of.
25 - a bracket for fixing something to the wall. I've no idea what
26 - the HT's old rail card. It ran out in 2022
27 - an amazon card that came with a gift
28 - a key.....I think this appeared when I was clearing my friend's house. I just kept picking keys up in case I found something that they fitted.
I'm going food shopping today. I need to buy some more table mats at some point so I'll see if there are any plain ones cheap enough in the supermarket. I seem to only have three now rather than four and two of those are falling apart. The teens apparently do not know what happened to the missing place mat so I'm assuming that the cat traded it for catnip or something. After lunch I'm taking my cousin to the hospital for a "procedure". Her son will collect her when she's done as I think there will be sedation involved. I also have a pile of "things" in my bedroom to sort through in the hopes of finding some more bits to declutter.
MSE bit....yesterday was NSD day 3.
I had a grocery underspen of £18.06 from last week so instead of leaving it in the grocery account I have transferred £10 to savings for next Christmas and £8.06 to my Ebeneezer account.
Take care all of you 😊6 -
How lovely that the HT's assessment was such a positive experience - I can just imagine what a difference that must make!
Your place mat situation made me smile - we now have 2 full sets of 6 "good" ones, and our old set which were getting slightly tired looking have been downgraded to be used for mats under plant pots. You do slightly find yourself wondering how they could come to just disappear, don't you!
Great work on the grocery underspend - I shall be going for something similar this week!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

You are definitely making me want to get cracking with decluttering, @CRANKY40. I could also do with a new set of place mats, as ours are looking past their best now. The only ones I seem to see which I like always cost more than I am willing to pay, so I don't think it's a purchase I am going to be solving anytime soon.
Last time I did a big declutter, I sorted through a drawer of keys to match them to actual doors we have, & there were quite a few left which didn't match anything at all! They went in the bin. I don't know where they all come from. My Mum always sued to say the same about wire coat hangers!

I'm really pleased that the HT's assessment went well. Disability Assessors have a job to do but they should always seek to do it with empathy and respect.
good work on the decluttering. I have way too many coasters and mismatched placemats and need to cull some - a quick and easy win if I can sneak them into the bin without MrBC seeing. He finds it difficult to throw anything away.2 -
All OK with you and the HT Cranky?

Hello and thanks @EssexHebridean, yes we're ok. Just had a touch of real life vs internet and real life won (as it should).
We cleaned the HT's room and shuffled some furniture around. His room is now very clean and looks much bigger. This was not a one day job by the way - it was several days and my decluttering was discontinued while we sorted his room and the things that were "in his way". He claimed not to have room in any of his three desk drawers for anything. I emptied the lot, threw most of the contents away and the couple of bits that he wanted to keep have gone into storage under his bed. His room could really do with painting and new carpet but the thought of having to move everything makes me go hot and cold all over. I think that particular project will stay on hold for now.
I have totally lost track of NSD's as usual. The HT fancied a wander round our local town on Saturday to see if there were any games he wanted in the trade-in type shops. He bought me a bread baking book and "Anne of Ingleside" in a charity shop for the princely sum of £3. It must be just under 50 years or so since I read any of the "Anne" books. He was really chuffed to have bought me something so good and that made me happy for so little expenditure. His education continues......and he still hasn't touched his maintenance loan.
I decluttered some of my yarn that was gifted to me last summer to a friend's grandaughter who is learning to crochet. I didn't count but I think something like 10 skeins left the building. The young lady messaged me to say thank you and how lovely the yarn was 😊
Best friend and I have been making lists of what we want to grow this year. He will not be growing cucumbers again as we grew a fair few and it turned out that I was the only one eating them. We will also not be growing turnips as the prolific number of woodlice that were "doing no harm" turned out to really like turnips and only left about 20% of each turnip before they moved on to eat the next one.
The pumpkins will make a return but will be located in a different spot as they were really in the way last year 😁 When we planted them he said "they can grow through the raspberries". They actually grew through the raspberry canes, around the raspberry canes, over the raspberry canes and then hurtled across the garden towards the rockery. The raised bed will have netting across once it is planted up as last year the squirrels moved most of the plants that we put in and/or the plant labels. We will also not plant all of the seeds out of each packet at the same time (him not me, but I'm making some rules this year) as nobody needs twenty celery heads all ready at the same time when only one person eats it.
Best friend and my dad's cousin have both been poorly. Cousin since before Christmas and best friend has had that a cold that morphed into a really bad cough so multiple medication drops were required. They both seem to be recovering now thank goodness.
Take care all of you 😊

I love the 'Anne' books. Very sweet of HT and great that he's still not used his loan!
Glad your BF and cousin are improving. There are some really nasty bugs around."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1 -
Awww, great gifts from your HT. I read all the "Anne" books too, so I expect it will be quite nostalgic for you to revisit one of the stories. I love planning what to grow over the coming year. Have promised myself a gardening session tomorrow.

I liked the Anne books too and the What Katy Did books. As a younger child I loved Milly Molly Mandy 😀2
