Windows cleaned and a few other surfaces wiped as I went round. I'm going to read my magazine now until it's time for my next shift.Spend less now, work less later.9

I've got dressed.. sorted a few presents to deposit at my mothers.. growled at the freezer for not being full of nice things.. Nagged Squeak to do her Maths work.. this should NOT take 3 hours!! It is 3 A4 work sheets!!
yeah.. that is it..
Yarn despatched for my scarves..
DS2 and Meem have just taken delivery of a new PC each.. *sas nothing about how skint I am while they are buying stuff* ... so they are very happy.. for now.
I'm taking a pushchair to school to keep me upright and possibly get Twinkle home faster.. She is not very steady and a nightmare when it is slippery. If I slip I may actually die from the hip pain.. I'm considering tying my legs together at the knee to prevent Bambi-ing

The loo looks a lot better but I've relented and bought an evil chemical to get the last of the limescale out and gone forever. I need it to be sparkly for my soul.Foodbank stint done, donation made to the Scrapstore (yay, more gibble gone), hob sparkly (sink has still got the grot but that can wait), L!dl run done and Waste Not box scored. There were about a dozen there, and I was the only person who bothered with them. I was quite tempted to get two. Tonight's dinner and next week's meal planned with the contents, and some French beans and leeks blanched and frozen.Crabapples picked, only about one third of what's on the tree, but that's enough for the crabapple jelly I want to make tomorrow. I'll be spending the rest of the day prepping them.Better is good enough.10

One set finished.. 5 to go..
Hazel loves her heated bed
and 5 Mobius scarves…
no wonder I’ve got nothing else done!Collected girls in the freeeezng cold.. I took the pushchair for Twinkle so she was not Bambi-big about and I was more stable.. scary slippy out there. Get the washing sorted in my room and went wild and dewebbed the entire pit with my new microfibre duster on a stick… then chased Squeak with a webby duster.. lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Yesterday. Repeat. Yawn - I’m living life on the edge here.Lovely presents, PigpenJust checking - ASB , you ok, honey? x10
-
Yes I was wondering about ASB too, let us know you are OK honey.
Work-while-I-am-on-holiday done. Glass of wine to celebrate. Much to look forward to, DS2 home for the weekend, my big brother and family visiting, so I get to mother/feed everyone. Clean washing put away, downstairs hoovered, dog taken to vets for a checkup.
At the big city tomorrow as DH has a clinic appointment. Will try to do a bit more C shopping.11 -
ASB emailed me earlier she's got intermittent/internet due to the weather/power conditions up there. So she's only able to get online in drubs and drabs. ☹️❤️

Yippee the patio is finished! Well, the builder's part is anyway; he did the pointing today. Now we have to:
- put a new liner in the butler sink we have as a pond
- infill and plant the bed around said pond; last time it had ferns and heuchera so we'll see what we can create.
- Mr N to make new trellis which goes on one side of the patio screening us (in a friendly way) from neighbours and to grow stuff up
- lots of pot plants, old and new, to be arranged on patio
- there are quite a few slabs left, so Mr N has promised to put a few round the washing line which is reachable by standing on the patio edge but would be handy to have at the base. We also have other worn/muddy areas which could use slabs.
The joy of not having to play car tetris earlier than we normally get up in order to let the builder's van in!
Saw nice student at uni today, will be an easy one to write up when hers gets to the top of my list.
I had a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy last night, having felt guilty at being too tired/busy to write any more c cards, I mentally thought "oh well if I can't sleep I can go downstairs and do some". Stupidy stupidy. So after trying unsuccessfully to sleep, I joined the wac and wrote some cards.
Have more or less meal planned for the weekend as my brother arrives tomorrow.
Written a shopping list as we will probably go to Mr A on the way home from a funeral tomorrow.
Had a chat to my mum on the phone, vague discussions about next week as we are down there for the weekend and had planned to go to a town an hour's drive from her one day to visit various friends and relatives (we used to live there too). However, step BIL has long-standing illness and the way Covid is looking, it may not be advisable to visit. Decided we would see what the news is by Tuesday and make a decision.
Felt so tired at work today I'd planned to cancel my drum lesson which shows how tired I was, as I love them. However when I looked at phone before getting in car from uni, there was a message saying drum tutor is ill. Rather relieved - although sorry he is ill.
Really need to plan how many flower arrangements I need to do this Xmas, and when. I've been trying to find some planet-friendly oasis but there isn't much suitable for the type of things I do.
Today Mr N packaged up, wrote accompanying letter and posted the multi-usb/plug extension lead I've had for the last year as it has been recalled owing to safety issues......apparently it catches fire. He also posted 'abroad' c cards.
Back to another report now.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Card from the aged ps wishing me merry Xmas and all the best for 1822! Card for DS addressed to Mr & Mrs. DS unmarried. She denied writing that.
