Hello all.
First work shift done, dogs walked, admin checked.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
A big thank you to the naughty but very kind person who has sent me a Secret Santa gift. It will of course remain unopened until Christmas Day.
Brilliant yarn bombing! - and all in a great cause. Thanks for posting the link, Narc0.
It is pouring with rain right now, so, while Rosie snuggles down, I must knuckle down and do a couple more things off my list before it stops. I shall have to go out to the PO at some point, to post two short letters that I wrote this morning. I've also made three well overdue phonecalls, done a bit of research on restoring old leather bound books, and done my end-of-month finance check. Housework? WMx1 of 3 is swirling, and I've made the beds.10 -
I have apparently won £250 in high street vouchers from the councils peoples panel.. I have never won anything.. I will believe it when I see it but.. that's my sales shopping for next Christmas sorted lol.
Still 2 more presents to buy and 1 is out of stock still.. and the other isn't in stock until 5th.
Fabian gone home so pack ups and dinner and DW and folding laundry for me.. Then I get to knit.
I have put away chritmas boxes and vacuumed the front room.. I see carpet!!

Aaaaaaannnnddd sit 😋Up and down, here and there at work. Dropped into small town on the way home to pick up some bits on DH’s request, including a C present. Dinner cooked, WULTD, tidied kitchen a bit, noticed the ironing pile (not too difficult as it is so high that it had to be propped against the wall), did HHI, sorted clean washing, airing cupboard, general gibble, have showered the day away, and now finally sat down to get some more knitting done. Whoops, some more wool also seems to have arrived in the post, as our little knitting shop doesn’t stock the colour that DD wants.11

Oh Piggers how lovely...
i have done stuff and bought stuff and took stuff to CS. DW and WM ready to do their thing. Blue bin out. Counted Christmas card order money. Was £38 short until I remembered we had a payment going in by bank transfer and I had recorded two cheques from one family as identical amounts which they weren't. Money spot on. Cash and cheques banked.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thanks for curtain comments - actually the seamstress was entirely correct; she showed me some sort of directional indicator on the manufacturer's sample book when I queried it; it had just never occurred to me to check or think they would go in that direction! Anyway all slabs and a new step are laid, ready for pointing tomorrow. They look OK. I'm not saying that in a grudging way; I'm looking forward to putting our plants etc back on and re-planting the area round the little pond (which was sunk into the old decking but has been repositioned).
Today was a little wading through treacle like. Was early arriving at uni so had time to stop and get a C0$ta at the garage....cue one awful noise like an alarm.....my debit card expired yesterday. Grovelled to cashier and ran out to car to retrieve new one, phew. The student who stood me up last week was well over an hour late today. I was fuming as I hadn't anticipated any free time so hadn't taken paperwork for the next report to write up. Suddenly I have a load to write up, thought I was keeping up pretty well. trying not to panic but I have another student tomorrow, a drum lesson, Fri I have my workplace student am, a funeral at lunchtime and my brother arriving in the evening. Sat should be enjoying my brother's company (except I hope I can lake swim)........so why would I panic? To brighten myself up I looked to see if the Heart Christmas radio station was live.....yippee, so I drove home singing. I hadn't planned to listen until at least next week, but I needed it.
This eve when I finally got home (6.40) was mainly slobbing but I took a call from Gigaclear as our internet is out of contract and got £5 off for the next 18months (which is actually £5 more than it had been as we'd had an introductory offer last time but we'd expected it to go up £10).
Modified new report template.
Started another report.
Forgot to put on yesterday's achievements that we did all our Big Give family 'presents'.
Mr N has kept the home going with washing, writing cards, making tea for the builder and cooking dinner.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Narco.. the xmas stations are live from 1st November.. Squeak was DELIGHTED when I found it the day after Halloween haha.. OH hates them with a passion and I just love them. I am a total elf when it omes to christmas.
I have fury and I can't find a way to calm it. OH has been rota'd to work my birthday.. NO ONE has worked their partners birthday yet he has to work mine.. he had to book his own birthday as a holiday day which no one else does and only he has had to work his childrens birthdays.. Squeak and Pixies we were n holiday but he worked the other 2.. Anyway.. I am incredibly annoyed and upset and plain fury filled and it won't quiet.
OH is faffing with laundry.. I'm not sure if he is hiding from me (it is possible because I did bubble over a growl earlier) which is making my rage worse. I feel like I am alone in everything, I think for everyone and I am just to mentally exhausted..
