Iona.. is this from having the vaccine? My stepdad had his a few weeks ago. My mother had shingles (for the 3rd time) already and no one caught it from her, even me who gets everything and my stepdad who sleeps in her bed! It is so weird how these things work.. or do the exact opposite of what they are supposed to do.. I hope he feels better soon. My mother is still having problems and it is 2.5 months since she had it, it is a nasty illness.
Off to see if we can get a deal on a green bike for Dot.. it has to be green..
Squeak doing some art work this afternoon so that should keep her busy.

Poor Mr Iona.. My mother has been really poorly. She was ill for about a week before the rash started, in hospital for a day when she got from holiday and thankfully the antiviral just made her feel rubbish but she didn't do anything or even get dressed some days for about 3 weeks. She was just started feeling better when she was attacked and her head was still incredibly sore and then had staples and stitches.. The big blister on her forehead is a sunken scar now but it still looks quite like she has been shot. I hope he doesn't react too badly to the medication, I bet he is dreading taking it!
The shop we were told stocks te bike for Dot does not.. wasted trip there!! So I need to order that online now.. and then I have 4 other people to get sorted and I'm done-done..

Round 1 completed. And I'm finally on top of the pots...again. Just baking trays to do - and they're not bad as I line them with foil. I've even washed the coffee mugs from this morning: I was expecting PJ and S, and I had a lovely surprise when DS turned up unexpectedly- he'd been to the dentist and decided to call for a coffee on his way home. They all left carrying their Advent calendars- tick 😊
Mr Parcelman arrived with C-shush in a box. Checked off what I got who, and made a note of what's left to buy- mostly chocolate/ biscuit top ups....which Mr Co-op will provide. And I've written the first batch of Christmas cards.
I've never been this in front of myself!! Something is bound to happen 🤔

Very late check in from me but still trying to flutter along. DD1 was home for a day or so which was great. OH sorted some books to go, he has understood that it doesn't all have to be sorted at once so I hope he'll join me in sorting odd bits here and there. Both pellet stoves were cleaned over the weekend and are now on (it's freezing)
Bed made, clothes picked up
Bill cancelled by tax office (it was worth doing admin Wednesday and Friday last week)
Dinner sorted for tonight and tomorrow
Cats trays done
Round I'll join you now for slinky22, I motivate myself to put things away immediately by thinking of the extra steps.
Keep warm folks and keep smiling12 -
Evening all
Count me in again and thanks for the lists. I’m also on for slinky22, (re) joined SW 13 weeks ago and 1 stone 12 gone so far, I know SW doesn’t suit everyone but it’s working for me right now so I’ll stay with it.
We had a lovely weekend, caught up on the house and shopping on sat then went to a Xmas market / light trail yesterday, it was cold but it was really quite magical in the snow, the walk was long though and I was feeling it this morning, really creaky but it soon eased. Losing the weight will definitely help that feeling!
Kitchen jobs mostly done, paid stuff was quietish today so I fluttered around in between tasks and did it. Virtual book group tonight and I’m very glad not to be going anywhere as it’s still freezing.
Will try this week and be a better flylady and post every day. Hugs etc to all x11 -
Iona thinking of you, I hope Dave recovers quickly.Spent the morning cleaning the house / kitchen / WM etc supervised by cat 2, he really has come on leaps and bounds. Then we went to the hospital, saw the consultant, OH is all clear, on a 5 year screening prog, has a number to ring if he thinks anything is wrong, with words of ring us sooner rather than later, his immune system will be very low for about 6 months, so we were told to keep away from large gatherings such as football matches, concerts, etc, we got out the car park and broke down in tears with relief, the doctors / nurses. etc are just amazing.Thank you for all your support xxBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Brilliant news about your OH, Kaz! Love to you both - hope you are celebrating!
It was nice to catch up with some of the Old Wives. Good cake too...
I have received wish lists from DS2 and family, made my choices, checked that it was OK to order those things (I was actually first in the family to respond to DS2's mail, so I got all my choices), and placed my order
