Thanks @badmemory@Tahlullah.H @lucielle @beanielou @Alchemilla
I'm wearing said top/tunic today - it has long sleeves, is really comfortable and has pockets. I really like it.
Not having to take DD to work - and having an extended break where she's gone to Ex/MIL at the weekend rather than here - has made such a difference to my energy levels! I've nearly caught up on the time I owed now so feeling a lot better - especially as it was nearly the end of my flexi period - and worse coming up towards year end - where they like you to be around zero... I was worried I'd need to use my tiny bit of remaining holidays just to plug the gap. I have 1.5 days left until end of March - will see what happens when DD returns...
I had my cam belt and water pump done and best of all they charged £507 not the £610 they originally quoted. Really happy. They quoted for my brakes too that I plan to get done around Easter time - they will be around £210 not the £300 the dealer would have been. Very happy about that. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to go local. I also walked there and back so got about 3500 steps in too. It all helps.
I'm on the list for a roofer to come - but no idea when. I only got recommendations for one - so stuck with them for now. My sis reckons when they had a similar issue it cost them £180 so that's what I have in my head. So that will soak up the 'saving' on the car bills - but it's fantastic that the money seems likely to balance out. Takes some pressure off. I was never so happy to pay a £500+ car bill as when I went in expecting it to be £600+ and it was less!! Also grateful for EF.
Still not been billed by PE. Given they never had a start or end reading that could be fun for them. I have my end reading from Gn though and my start reading with BG so it should work itself out eventually.
Yesterday I had a real burst of creativity too. I cut up some A4 into 4s and then did 12 A6 pictures, 4 A5 pictures and 1 A4 one - just copying watercolour inspiration pictures off the net or having a go at my own like trees and a seascape. I think it helped my productivity today too - as it felt like I wasn't on pause... and instead found joy in the journey.

You don't realise how much energy is used with DD and now you've experienced the difference. Next step is to figure out how to balance it in your favour.
Garage savings are great and will be put to good use. My ex had his roof patched a couple of times, guy went up on a ladder and swapped tiles, £30 cash and it was done in no time.
Keep up the creativity, it's a personal release / expression.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
Just catching up after a few days. You mentioned melatonin a few pages back. It is available in tablet form on the NHS and as you have an ASD diagnosis you may find you can get it prescribed via your normal gp. Especially if it may mean you are then able to cut down on a different medication. My girl takes it (non ASD) as she is prone to insomnia, it helps especially during the school holidays when she finds lack of routine and structure hard to deal with. Anyway might be worthwhile mentioning it to your GP.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉8

Thanks beanie, MF and DAL
I've never paid less than a £100 for a roof repair... I would be delighted to get a similar deal MF but can't imagine it around here...
@Drawingaline - I definitely need to ring my GP as it is a major deal for me. I enquired years ago - but I didn't have the ASD diagnosis then - and I suppose what they are allowed to prescribe changes over time. Insomnia has been the bane of my life for years - the meds I'm on help me fall asleep but they have a heavy affect into the next day which can make me feel almost hungover.
I still need to file my accounts... deadline is 26/2. Getting close now - but I still can't seem to make myself do it.
My claim form hasn't arrived yet.

I don't sleep well most of the time so interesting to hear about the blackout blinds although i'm not sure they would help my brain and body quiet down.
