phew its all done.
Anything i need to do now?0 -
Yes. The first thing is to ensure that you have received from the CCBC an automated receipt for your Defence. If not, chase them up in the morning.laurenjo12 said:phew its all done.

Then have another look at that checklist you were following when you filed your Defence and make a note from it of what you can expect to happen next.
It would also be good for you to read more of the second post of the NEWBIES thread about subsequent steps.2 -
Thankyou for all your help with this. I think i made made a mistake and im not sure what the implications are ( an entire night worrying!)
The address i have put on my WS is the address of my family home. I stay here very frequently but my registered address is not there (the one with the electoral role). I realise now i shouldnt have put my family address and im worried it will get me into trouble? should i do something to rectify this?
Also, without going into too much personal detail i have come to realise (and have been advised by a healthcare professional via the services i am currently under) that i am not well enough to attend a court hearing. The stress is causing a huge deterioration in my mental health.
I have looked at the paperwork sent from the court and it says i have " at least 7 days before the date of the hearing" to write and tell them i cannot attend. As the hearing is 1.12.22 this would be the 24.11.22. I intend to write a short email and attach a letter from the mental health services.
Im not sure where this will leave me with regards to the outcome. I apologise if anyone feels their time has been wasted on me if im not going to see this right through to the end:(0 -
The address is fine, you can say you are at any address. Your choice! Relax.
As for not attending the hearing, we really do not recommend missing it as you are more likely to lose. But if it is in person then we get you will feel stressed about the idea (its a little bit like a job interview, certainly a formal meeting, but with a person who wants to listen to you (the Judges are normally soooo nice!)
Which court? Have you got a friend who could attend with you and speak for you?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have you seen this video?...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=n93eoaxhzpU
Just three or four people sitting round a table having a discussion.2 -
Thankyou i have watched the youtube video. My letter says it is a remote hearing so im not sure what that involves. Attending in person would be a 100% no. I know it probably sounds a bit silly but i just dont think i can do it. If it was something i understood then maybe i could but i have really struggled with all the legal terminology and i know i will fall apart when they question me and likely embarrass myself having a panic attack.
The court is Watford.
I could ask my mum to attend with me (if she can get the day off work ) so im fortunate to have some support but a) i dont think i could answer anything without getting myself in a state, and b) my mum wont know how to answer their questions either.
I will ask her and see what she says.
Thankyou Coupon-mad for reassuring me regarding the address-huge weight off my shoulders today
