Have you got an external disk with 250GB free space ?

I have got an external disks with more than 250GB free space but non are plugged in.

Here is my Disk Management SS if it helps

HAve you backed up any of your data and if so what did you  use? Then I will try and find a "simple" to follow strategy to see what we can do.

I have copied all my folders over to an ex hdd 

Not done anything about programs suppose I will need to install those later if needed

OK stayed with the neighbour a litte longer than planned, free beer . Before I put the plan to you I have one more question, How do you dual boot, using grub or windows? (or even from the bios)

I am suggesting that we allocate the 40GB disk and the 512MB disk say 35.5GB to windows and 5GB to zorin but the choice will be yours. I will put the gist of the plan on here and invite others to comment before we start tomorrow possibly.

As an aside why did you choose zorin ? I see you have an optiplex 790

Free beer is always good 

How do you dual boot...Well not sure while the computer is loading up I get a menu. zorin is at the top other zorin stuff is in the middle and windows is at the bottom so I use arrow keys to select what I want to do. 

Your idea sounds good thank you for all your help.

OK it sounds as it's grub, but I will check .....later. Don't thank me yet or you'll end up cursing me or the plan
