I would probably invest it all as I have enough emergency money.  GIA then so be it, just sell them in lots to come under the CGT threshold each year.

£10k-£50k - I do like treating myself so at least a quarter of any of those sums would involve pampering me silly and the rest I'd invest for future pampering 😊
£100k - would allow me to move out of my current situation now rather than waiting for the new tax year.
£500k - I'd pack my bags and my bunnies up and I'd head somewhere a bit warmer, buy a small place by a beach and have daily pampering 😊

£10k - I'd put it away for 5 years ready for when I'm ready to move from my flat into a house
£20k - I'd go on a holiday, then I'd put the rest away for 5 years ready for when I'm ready to move from my flat into a house
£50k - I'd invest half (long term), I'd go on a holiday, then I'd put the rest away for 5 years ready for when I'm ready to move from my flat into a house
£100k - I'd invest half (long term), I'd go on a holiday, then I'd put the rest away for 5 years ready for when I'm ready to move from my flat into a house
£500k - I'd move from my flat into a £400k house (south coast prices)! and I would have change to have a safety net, a holiday, and invest some long term

£10k/£20k - I have to borrow less for my extension
£50k - I don't have to borrow for my extension, and can fit it out properly
£100k - same as £50k, probably just save/invest the rest
£500k - probably cancel the extension and move house!

Hmm, I seem to be a bit house obsessed...!
