So long as you don't buy early then get tempted and buy more nearer Christmas. Time to yourself with coffee is good though2

Hope you are feeling better today and that Roo enjoyed his birthday x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thanks lovelies! And on the earlier comment re Olio, I’ve had a look lots of times, but I always seem to be too late. I will try and check more often. I am currently in the coffee shop as planned. I have lots of Xmas presents in my basket, I just need to look at what I have at home and compare prices. I seem to be able to find way more for May then for Roo!
Speaking of Roo, he was so chuffed with his cake yesterday, he said it was better then the bake off cakes. So pleased with myself that I took the time to do it 😊.
Need to pop to Tesco then pop some calpol to the school for May as she’s still feeling a bit under the weather. I need to get some bits and pieces of shopping. Going to do pizza for the children and curry for me and OH. Managed to get the cheapy curry sauce the other day at least. I also have some chicken and some courgettes for the curry.
Feel a little more in control. I have some time this evening to go through budgets and to actually send the invoice I need to. I owe a lot to after school club and I’m sure they’ll start chasing soon, so need to sort that. Have the dentist tomorrow too. Really need to call them and change what I’m having done and hopefully save some money.
That’s it for now. Will message again later.2 -
You sound much more in control today.1

Ah not having the best day again. Just few really down, I think it’s because I’ve spent all day on my own, OH has taken on lots of work at the moment, but it means I’m not seeing him very much at all. And our relationship has always been based on us seeing eachother constantly working together and living together. My work is super quiet at the moment so I feel quite sad and lonely and at a loose end. Ex is home at the mo too, so I don’t always have the children either.Currently sat in the dentist waiting room, I’ve had to go private and I know it’s going to cost a bloody fortune 😢1

Vague piece of positivity. I spoke to the dentist and I’m not having any cosmetic work done, I am just having what is necessary, so a £1585 bill has gone down to £500 which although is astronomical is much better. Am very tired today. But have a class in 2 and a half hours to teach. 😢1

Well that's a big difference in price for your dental work. Hope it all goes ok for you. Even NHS is expensive now. My dentist keeps saying I should maybe think about a crown...and I keep saying no...lol.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Hope you are doing well. Sorry to hear you've been struggling with isolation. I can soooo relate to this as I too have the same issues with co parenting my kids, my OH working nights & working part time. October was an awful month in particular. The dark nights are grim and my anxiety was through the roof. Chucking myself into trying to have little catch ups with friends and a bit of crafting has helped a bit. Also took up a bit of jogging in the park and some other bits and pieces. Hope you find something that works for you. You are definately not on your own

Hey sorry I’ve been quiet, I’ve been running around after children and business. I’ve absolutely haemorrhaged money for xmas and Roos birthday, dentist and meeting friends thinking I had money, why do I do it I get into a mind set of it’s all ok. When it absolutely isn’t. I’m about £140 short on money until 7th Jan which is what I’ve budgeted up to.Really need to try and find some more money from somewhere. Shopping is going to be a trial again! Trying to keep costs down.I’ve got £4.50 off a £30 spend at Sainsburys, but apart from the value stuff I find it really expensive, so I don’t know if there’s much point in using it. Going to go to lidl and see what I can get today, trying to only spend £10 for the week as have bits in.Lovely to hear from you @qu@Queen_of_the_Hive and thank you for your understanding. I’m feeling a little better this week. OH is around a bit for a couple of days.Going to have a look at budget tonight as have had some bills come in and out.
Hope you’re all ok?1 -
I think Lidl will be cheaper than S's even with the money off. Or maybe Aldi. I like to use Aldi for all the basics and then use S's for stuff I can't get in Aldi, like DH's lactose free cheese and our coffee. We buy quite a bit from E/by so the nectar points do add up and it all helps.
Hope you manage to sort out your budget.Making the debt go down and savings go up
