Hi, I’ve been working a lot the last few days at ad hoc job. Not liking the politicalness that goes on sometimes, which is annoying. I’ve been struggling with my mood, it’s hormonal, I’m exhausted too so I’m wondering if my iron is low or I’m coming up to that age of peri menopause. So we’ll see. I’m even having bad dreams. Not the best.

Anyway, I’ve not bought anymore food apart from lunch yesterday at work as it wasn’t provided and I forgot.

I’m working tomorrow all day too, I’m very much looking forward to Sunday where I can snuggle up.

So the heating is now on, it was too cold in the childrens bedrooms but I need to look at the thermostat over the weekend as the house now seems too warm 🙄🙄, I need to look at Roo’s birthday and a cake etc. and Christmas this weekend too.

  • Maybe your vitamin B levels are a bit low. That would make you feel tired, as well as lack of iron. Maybe ask the GP to do a blood test.

Thank you @Makingabobor2 and @dawnybabes you are both right. I haven’t been taking my multivitamin or my iron so that may be the reason for that. We’ve just had a power cut for a second. I imagine it’s to do with the weather as it’s super stormy here.

I’m sat watching Christmas films, drinking tea and eating biscuits. I need to finish my Christmas shopping online. I’m going to make a stew for later. Haven’t spent a lot of money this week. Hoping next week will be good too. Haven’t been shopping yet, but will, we’re ok for a few days though. My budget has taken a bit of a pounding though as a couple of people have cancelled sessions so I need to have a look at what that does in the long run. Going to nip over to other diaries and catch up with you all. Thanks for being there.
  • Ooh I do love  good Christmas film, but its a bit early for me to start watching them yet. Not feeling very Christmassy yet.
Stew sounds good, just what you need this time of year. Hope your having dumplings.... :)

@Makingabobor2 the stew has been made with left over carrots, lots of potatoes to bulk it out, 1/2 a 46p swede and 1/4 of a pack of cooking bacon! I also used a tiny bit of left over frozen veg I had. We do indeed have dumplings to go in it later, it should do us 2 meals for both of us and I’m really hoping I might be able to stretch some into a pie if I make a pastry lid but we shall see! Work gave me some profiteroles yesterday, so I shall be having those as afters. I’m going to clean and sort the kitchen, there is so much stuff in here it’s ridiculous.  My energy from earlier has disappeared so I’m just having a cuppa and working up the get up and go to go and do some more!
  • That sounds really tasty. I always think stew tastes better on the 2nd day as well, once its had time to soak up the flavour. Must admit I never thought of putting bacon in. Bet that makes it taste lovely. I need to sort my kitchen, the cupboards are driving me mad. Especially the one with all the plastic containers in.... :D

@Makingabobor2 I remember growing up we had one of those cupboards that sort of went round a corner, and that was the Tupperware cupboard. Honestly, the things in there. I swear nothing in there had a matching lid. It was like playing Tetris trying to put anything away, and you used to brace yourself whenever you’d open it incase the whole thing came tumbling down. The Tupperware era has a lot to answer for lol, I remember my mum holding Tupperware parties as well. Anyone else remember all of that?

Definitely remember the Tupperware parties.  Both my sister and I often used to hold them - it was a good way of collecting the stuff as you always got free gifts for hosting and it certainly didn't cost a lot as people didn't really drink wine then so it was usually just tea, coffee, biscuits and HM cake!  Haven't got much of it left now but still have plenty of plastic boxes with lids but prefer the Lock n Lock ones now.
